"Ryu? Where'd you go?" a man that resembled an older looking Miroku said as he was searching through a forest as a young girl with short hair sat giggling in a bush with her eyes closed
"alright I give up where are you little one?" the man called out
"I'm here" the child called out jumping out of the bush but in her excitement she accidentally jumped forwards in to a small opening of a cavern where she landed in a large nest of spiders all of which were very large and many were bigger than the young girls fist. Since the child was intruding on their territory they all attacked causing her to scream in terror.
"RYU!" the man yelled running to her and helping her out, beating off any remaining spiders. "It's alright your safe. I've got you, you're safe" he said holding the child close as she cried.

"Ryu" Kagome said cautiously as I walked beside her it had been several days since our encounter with Naraku yet I have remained silent ever since. My bangs always seemed to shroud my eyes in shadow.
"Kagome could you tell me more about Ryu?" Miroku asked as they let me get a bit ahead so that I was out of hearing range
"well what do you want to know?" Kagome asked
"why was she so terrified when we found her before?" Miroku asked cautiously
"Spiders are the one thing that terrify Ryu more than anything else. Her fear for them equals that of her fear for losing those close to her again." Kagome said sadly
"Spiders?" Miroku asked surprised
"It started when a reoccurring nightmare she had of a giant spider threatening to kill all of her family. Then when she was little she and her father had been playing in the forest outside their home. Ryu accidentally fell in to a large nest of spiders. They attacked her biting and crawling all over her, it only reinforced her growing fear towards spiders, and now that there are demons that are in the forms of siders she's a bit on edge." Kagome said as she pushed her bike alongside her as we were wondering around in search of a possible lead
"Something dark is ahead" I whispered drawing everyone's attention "spirits of the dead are being stolen it would seem" I said and this seemed to surprise the others
"How do you know Ryu?" Kagome asked and I turned and faced her showing only one of my ember eyes that held no emotion
"The wind told me"
"The wind?" Miroku asked
"How the hell did the wind tell you anything" Inuyasha yelled annoyed
"The souls of young maidens are being stolen" I said looking the village "the elder princess of the village has died and now they are worried for her soul."
"Hold it" Inuyasha said as I started to make my way towards the village.
"Surly we must check it out to see if what she says is true. For if she is than she may be of even greater help when searching for the shards of the jewel." Miroku said and Inuyasha grumbled angrily
"Fine but if she's wrong I'm going to hit her on the head and snap her out of this depressing mood of hers" Inuyasha said angrily
"that's not going to work Inuyasha" Kagome said walking beside him
"Oh and how would you know?" Inuyasha snapped
"Because she was like this once before, but it lasted for two years before and at times she returns to this state." Kagome said with concern on her face "she's stubborn like you sometimes in the way that she doesn't like to ask for help. She always wants to figure her own problems out on her own. She doesn't like bothering others with her own problems."
"tch" Inuyasha said annoyed yet as we reached the palace of the village a guard approached me
"Who are you? Why are you here priestess" the man asked angrily
"Please we are merely here to help protect the soul of the lost princess." Miroku said now standing at my side
"Oh I see you may enter" the guard said nodding to the others on the gates were opened, we were then lead to a rather large room where a feast was prepared for us.
Yet after I ate a small amount of food I left the others to their meal. I couldn't help but feel like something was calling out to me so I started walking as if I was in a trance.
Eventually the night passed and I continued to walk I eventually reached an area surrounded by a barrier yet I managed to walk right through only to fall down a hill slick with morning dew.
"Why are you here" a familiar voice said as I slowly stood up and looked at her yet the light from my eyes was gone as I gazed at the dead priestess before me stood Kikiyo.
"..." I didn't speak nor did I move I merely sat there.
"Hn" she said walking towards me and touching my forehead "it would seem you two are lost in great turmoil in your heart. Perhaps that is why you have come to me." she said before the moved away and jumped in to a tree to relax and I found myself sitting at the base of the tree laying against it as I slept at last.
When I woke again I found I was on Miroku's back as he was carrying me and the others waked ahead
I am sorry" I whispered I must have caused you all trouble."
"Oh so your awake now" Miroku asked happily as he set me on my feet yet I looked at him with sadness in my eyes.
"
I let my own fear get the better of me causing me to become lost in myself so my body sought out the nearest person who I felt was similar to my own emotion."
"So that's why you were near Kikiyo" Kagome said surprised and I nodded
"Sometimes just being in the presence of someone facing a problem similar to my own comforts me and so my body tends to react on instinct in such a moment." I said but then Inuyasha punched me surprising the others and myself.
"Snap out of it already your depressing attitude is annoying" Inuyasha said and I smiled
"Your right" I said smiling again "thank you"
"The hell is wrong with you?" Inuyasha yelled acting like he was about to hit me again but then Kagome yelled
"Inuyasha sit boy"
