Reunions and the sword of Tenki

~~~~~Hachi's pov~~~

Priest Mushin has been in a bit of a tizzy for the past few days as apparently a woman came to the monetary and fainted due to a wound caused by a demon. So now Mushin and some of the other monks have been scrambling around trying to cure the young woman.

From what I've been told the woman was dressed as a priestess in purple rather than the traditional red with a glove similar to Master Miroku's on her hands and a sword. Over all she was rather odd for a priestess but she did seem rather familiar.

If I didn't know any better I'd say she was the young woman Master Miroku had met before with Inuyasha and the others. The one they called Ryu and the descendant of Master Miroku. With that in mind I decided to visit master Miroku and bring him and the others back since Priest Mushin seemed to be having troubles when dealing with this demon wound.

when I found Master Miroku and the others he had a red hand print on his face once again as he probably let his hands get the better of him and touched the demon slayer Sango's rear. Oh when will my master ever learn?

"Huh hey Hachi" the little fox demon Shippo said in greeting

"Hachi what brings you here?" Master Miroku said calmly from where he sat

"I came to visit as a young woman seems to have arrived at the temple." i said and this instantly got master's attention.

"A woman you say." he said with a false look of concern "Why would she go there?"

"She was wounded by a demon and even Master Mushin seems be having trouble in treating it. But what's more the woman was dressed like a priestess in purple and she wore gloves similar to your own master Miroku." I said and in an instant the others were on their feet while the demon slayer Sango looked confused as I know she has not had the chance to meet master's daughter.

Before long I was flying with master and the others on my back

"So tell me who is this Ryu person we are going to see." Sango asked

"She's my daughter." Miroku said and Sango looked surprised and confused

"Daughter? But wouldn't she be a little young to be roaming around on her own?" Sango asked

"No, what Miroku means that she's his descendant Ryu's actually from my time." Kagome cleared up

"Oh" Sango said in understanding "But then why was she on her own?"

"We're not really sure Ryu just said that she needed to do something on her own and then left just before you woke up back when we were in your village." Shippo said and Sango looked surprised

"The idiot probably did something stupid while in a fight or something." Inuyasha said sounding annoyed as he had his arms crossed and was standing while the others were all sitting down

"Don't listen to him he's just worried about her." Kagome said looking away almost annoyed

"I am not!" Inuyasha yelled "Honestly she's about as annoying as a kid sister or something." he said turning away and pouting slightly

"Ah so you think of her like a sister and are worried about her too." Shippo said hopping on to Inuyasha's shoulder

"Quite you." he said hitting Shippo on the head

Soon we arrived at the temple and everyone rushed in to the temple.

~~~Ryu's POV~~~~

I've been surrounded by darkness for several days now don't asking how I know for I'm not certain myself. But I started to wake up only to feel pain jolt from my left leg just above my ankle where I remember being touched by the demon hand formed from black rain.

"Will she be alright?" I heard a familiar voice ask

"Not sure the wound is rather odd. I seen wounds like this before only much smaller and caused by a low class demon the only times their able to cause this much harm is when they're in a large group or cluster as they are generally rather small on their own." an unfamiliar female voice said

"She'll wake up I know it she's always been a fighter so there's no way this would keep her down for long." I heard another familiar voice say as I slowly started to open my eyes

When I finally opened my eyes I first noticed that it was late at night and I was now alone. Or so I thought. Slowly sitting up I gradually started to regain my senses only to look up and find a familiar young man dressed in red watching me

"It's been a while hasn't it Inuyasha" I said with a small smile and in an instant he was hugging me.

Yes you heard me right the tough, bull headed dog demon Inuyasha was hugging me.

"don't do something like this again got it." he said hiding his face in my shoulder "I don't have many friends and even fewer that I'll even acknowledge so don't you dare go and die on me got it." he said and I smiled

"Promise" I said calmly and he moved away and nodded before he turned his back to me

"You tell anyone I hugged you I'll deny It." he said and I giggled slightly before I started to laugh out right. And before long I could hear the rushing footsteps of what I could only assume where the others.

"RYU!" Kagome, Shippo and Miroku all said rushing to me and hugging me all at once all of them starting to fuss over me

"Calm down I'm fine now." I said smiling as I tried to calm the now crying Shippo but then I sensed someone new.

Looking up I saw a woman with long black hair tied in a low ponytail currently she was dressed in a pink kimono top and a green skirt

"Um hello we haven't met yet but I'm Sango." she said and I smiled at her

"Hello Sango I'm Ryu." I said happily and she smiled back but then I looked worried as I looked around

"What's wrong?" Kagome asked

"Where's my sword?" I asked looking around but then Miroku smiled and pulled my sword from behind him before handing it to me.

Smiling I drew the blade slightly and closed my eyes

"Mizu" I called out and in instant water rushed to my wounded leg and I slowly felt my energy restoring.

"What is she doing?" Sango asked

"The sword that Ryu carries is called the sword of Tenki and with it Ryu can control the elements. She even as the ability to heal." Kagome said and Sango looked surprised

"You mean the legendary Sword of Tenki? But that swords been said to turn people in to demons!" she yelled

"Yes it had the potential to do that." I said calmly drawing the attention/worried gazes of the others "the original purpose of the sword was to find a worthy master and turn them in to the new Celestial being of Tenki. But all those before failed their final test and were turned in to demons instead." I said calmly with my bangs hiding my eyes slightly "merely wielding the blade means nothing but if the sword allows you to summon the elements than you are chosen to take its test. if you are able to master one element than you have accepted the test of the heavens and must continue to master the sword until the final test is revealed or you will be killed or turned in to a demon. If a demon were to take these tests and fail they would become human."

"Than just stop already." Inuyasha said and I smiled at him sadly

"By gaining the power of healing it is seen as mastering the basic power of water." I said and Kagome gasped "so sadly it is too late for me to back out."

"That's why you left than isn't it." Kagome asked sadly

"It is. that and as my power grows the more demons I will attract as they wish to gain the power of the sword for their own use or they wish to eat my flesh and what powers I have gained." I said calmly "you all will have enough trouble as you search for the jewel shards I felt it best to avoid adding more risk to it all." I said calmly

"But Ryu we could help you" Shippo said in my lap and I smiled at him sadly

"No Lady Midoriko left a message for me in that cave in the demon slayer village. I must travel on my own to master my sword."
