"Kuuki" I whispered as I closed my eyes as my hearing increased tenfold if not more.
Using this heightened sense I listened for any hostile demons nearby more specifically for one I knew was following me yet I could not identify them or feel if they were hostile or not
"So we meet again priestess" a voice spoke from beside me
Startled I looked around but found no one. Then suddenly I felt a hand around my throat causing me to gasp in shock as my dark amber eyes widened meeting the vibrant red gaze of Naraku
'Why wasn't I able to hear him?' I thought
"We were interrupted last time but this time you are without your pathetic friends and ancestral father." he said with a dark chuckle "You will become part of me. Well, you will when you've completed your final test."
I'll admit with every fiber of my being I hated how much I feared him yet I seemed powerless against it.
"You will however make a fine pawn in the meantime." He said running a hand through my hair sending spikes of fear down my spine
But then something unexpected happened causing Naraku to retreat
"Damn you Sesshomaru" he muttered before he disappeared
With him gone I fell to my knees trying to recover as I my breath was shaky and uneven.
"Lady Ryu!" I heard someone cry out before running up to me "Lady Ryu are you alright?"
Slowly turning my head I saw it was
"R-Rin why are you..." I started
"Lord Sesshomaru over heard that being Tennyo talking to you before we got to far away. Apparently it got his attention and we've been following you ever sense." Rin said smiling
"Rin don't go telling such things like that to people" Jaken Sesshomaru's follower yelled as he ran up
"Why do you fear him so much?" Sesshomaru asked now standing in front of me glaring down at me "You possess the great Sword of Tenki and are on the path of becoming a celestial maiden one who would be worthy of this Sesshomaru. So why do you fear the half breed?"
"Spiders" I whispered still disoriented "S-so many spiders" I whispered as I started to shake "papa help" I didn't realize it but I started to cry
'Why, why does this fear cripple me so!' I thought
"Hn" sesshomaru said suddenly picking me up with his one hand "Jaken, Rin get on Ah-un we'll be returning to the West" Sesshomaru ordered.
"Of course my lord." Jaken said before he moved to hurry Rin onto the two headed dragon as Sesshomaru used his own power to create a cloud under him lifting us into the air.
