Ladybug collects all the remains of the previously known miraculous objects that have miraculously turned into dust; however, it is still functional. She had just witnessed a wish made to Gimmi by no other than Monarch himself, Gabriel Agreste. She still feels the same pit in her stomach when she discovers his true identity in Nathalie's bedroom, which functioned as her death bed. This strange underground secret basement also serves as Gabriels's deathbed. She looked over to where Emilie was; she was gone, turned to dust. She winces at the thought of what his wish could've been if it weren't bringing her back. After collecting the miraculous, she notices a double band wedding ring, Gabriels' ring. She grits her teeth as she puts them into her bug phone, which also functions as a bag. She lowers her head, thinking of what Adrien would think when he returns to Paris, now as an orphan. Tears welled up in her eyes, losing herself to her thoughts. Her thoughts are soon to end once she realizes she didn't have the brooch. She lifts her head swiftly and begins her search. She faintly remembers that after she struct Monarch, his brooch fell into the water below. She scans the room, trying to see if there is a way down from the platform she was on.
"There," she thought, seeing a pole sticking out above the water; she could use her yo-yo for support. She releases her yo-yo and lowers herself atop the water, scanning the area. The water was shallow and clear; there was no reason to get her hair wet for a simple search. After 45 minutes of searching, she felt tears form again, her face heated up from the frustration. "Where could it have disappeared to? It was only him and I in this room..." She mutters to herself as she begins to find her exit.
Once Ladybug returns to her bedroom through her balcony, she sits down the dust of the previous miraculouses. She sighs and holds back tears as she divides Tikki and Plagg. Marinette hands Plagg the miraculous of the cat, "take it back to Chat Noir and do not tell him anything," she says in one breath holding back tears. Plagg takes a glance at Tikki and hurries off without saying a word. She takes one look at Tikki before diving into her bed face first into her pillows, sobbing. "Tikki, I'm a failure, I got every single miraculous back into my possession but the one that has been lost for years," she sobbed, her words muffled into the soft pillows her face was buried in. "It's going to be okay Marinette; you'll get it back soon I know it." Tikki says in a comforting motherly tone, smiling at her holder. Before Marinette has a chance to respond she gasps and realizes she needs to do something with the mysterious disappearance of Gabriel Agreste and Monarch. Reporters are currently searching for Ladybug and Chat Noir for details on the matter all throughout Paris. "Come on Tikki, we have to explain what happened so civilians do not begin speculation," Marinette says while handing Tikki a macaroon from her purse.

Soon after speaking to countless journalists Marinette returns back home and detransforms once again in her bedroom. Not a minute later she gets a call from Alya. Marinette sighs and answers with a smile plastered across her face. "Girl, what happened?? Was everything you said true? Why didn't you tell us who Monarch truly was, and why was Adrien's father involved? Where was Chat Noir?" Alya demanded answers like the true aspiring journalist she is. Marinette hesitates thinking of the consequences of telling her dear best friend the cold truth or a solemn white lie. She sighs, "Alya can you come over and then we can talk about this, I really need a friend right now." She says attempting to power through her shaking voice and sobs trying to escape her throat. "Yeah girl, I'll be there soon are you okay?" "Yeah, I'm fine just hurry." Marinette responds before abruptly hanging up. "Have you thought about the miraculouses yet and putting them back together?" Tikki asks staring at the neat color piles of dust that used to be the homes of her friends. Marinette covers her face with her hands, "No Tikki, I haven't even begun to think how Gabriel could've had the ability or knowledge not only to destroy the miraculous but kept them functioning in ring form. Let alone transferring their abilities through Alliance." Marinette moves to her desk in front of the miraculouses and begins to ponder on how to reconstruct them into their previous forms while the Kwamis stare back at her, hopeful.
After a few moments of pondering in silence with Tikki, Alya enters her room. "Hey girl so what happened?" She says oblivious to the state the miraculouses are currently in. Marinette turns around in her chair and looks at Alya up and down. "Marinette have you been crying?" She says tilting her head to the side concerned, "Is Chat Noir, okay?" Alya continues. "Yes, I think so, I think he was affected by an akumatized victim and that's why Plagg found me." She says not completely sure what the actual reason was. "Yeah, that would make sense why Plagg found me when he couldn't find you." Alya responds shrugging her shoulders with a sheepish grin. Before continuing their conversation Grand Master Su-Han skips into Marinettes room from the balcony's trap door. Marinette jumps out of her skin at the sight of him, "G-grand Master Su-Han what are you doing here?" She stutters standing out of her comfortable pink computer chair. "I heard you defeated Monarch, but failed to receive the butterfly miraculous," he states sternly crossing his arms, "However, I am not here to reprimand you, you obviously need help with those obscene abominations." He continues pointing at the piles of dust and rings on her desk. Alya lets out a silent sigh of relief, almost turning into a chuckle if she didn't stop herself.
