Supermans P.O.V

I punched the last bad guy and he fell unconscious, I looked around but frowned as the only person I could see was a reporter, this seemed far to early for Batmans usual disappearing act. I turned to the reporter who we had saved but she was looking down into the ocean "Wait! Did he fall in?!" I asked, she nodded fast and I ran and jumped in.

I swam downwards and cursed Gotham for its murky water, as I hit the bottom of the lake I swam around and quickly I saw Batman, his mouth was open and he was floating through the water with blood clouding the area around him, I grabbed him and flew him up to the surface as fast as I could. I jumped back up onto the dock and tried to shake him awake but he was completely unresponsive, I had no idea what to do, are you suppised to do something or just let them cough it out?! My mum used to pat my back... what do I- his oxegen mask!

I quickly took the utility belt off him and pulled out the mask then put it on his face, after a second or two his breathe stuttered and he started coughing out water into the mask, I sat him up and used my arm to support him then pulled the mask off so he wouldn't drown again in the water that was in there, Batman tried to inhale but was stopped by water and threw up then gasped for air, he coughed out the rest and grabed my arm to stay upright while gasping and taking deep breathes.

Once his breathing got a bit calmer I grabbed him and hugged him as tight as I could, he gasped
"Crushing, me." Batman said and I quickly let him go
"S-sorry, I'm so sorry." I said, but Batman ignored me and just let himself fall onto me. He put one hand in my hair, his other hand warped around my back (or more around my shoulder/arm) and he let his head rest on my shoulder,
"It's okay." he said and he ran his hand through my hair reassuringly "I'm fine Kal." he said and I realised that I was shaking. I looked at his body lying on mine, his breathing body, his chest rising and falling, and I relaxed. Suddenly I remember the reporter
"This is and was all off record." I said and she nodded in shock, Batman startled when I said that then saw her and fell of the warf again, I grabbed him as he fell off the edge "Please stop trying to drown." I pleaded and he actually smiled making me grin.
