After a brief shock, Minho recovered quite quickly and stared at me indignantly.
"I didn't do anything to him, he wasn't looking at the road when he ran over and got run over." he immediately defended himself.
"Ask him why I was in such a hurry to cross the road, I was trying to run away from that stalker." Taemin said, looking snidely at Minho.
"Taemin was my ex-boyfriend. He didn't take it well when I broke up with him. I think he ran into the street on purpose." He covered his face with his hands and let out a few fake snorts.
Rolling his eyes, the ghost turned back to me.
"We had a date, then I broke it off, but the crazy guy stalked me, snapping pictures of me through the windows, constantly lurking and bombarding me with messages. That evening, I was walking home in the dark when I noticed him stalking me again. I tried to get away from him quickly, but he ran after me. I saw the white van too late..." Taemin explained to me, suddenly looking a little sad.
"He told me everything Minho... you chased him to his death." I looked at our customer uncomprehendingly. How could you do something like that and then twist the truth like that?
"It was Taemin's own fault, why did he run away from me? If he had stopped, we could be happy now." Minho said sulkily and seemed to really believe what he was telling himself.
"He'll never realize that I don't want anything from him," sighed Taemin.
"But I wonder one thing... why are you here in his house if you don't like him at all?" I wanted to know from the ghost, who then sauntered over to Minho, pulled up his hand by the sleeve and pointed to a ring.
"He cheekily stole from my corpse... As soon as I drew my last breath, he pulled my grandfather's ring off my finger and ran away. Tell him that if he gives you the ring, I'll leave voluntarily," he said and let go of Minho's sleeve, who kept looking at his arm in horror.
I went to Minho and pointed at the ring.
"You don't steal from corpses... Taemin says he'll leave on two conditions. Firstly, you hand over his ring and secondly, you pay us double." I told our client, who, after a moment's thought, grudgingly nodded.
He took the ring off his finger, took the bills out of his wallet and handed me everything.
"Here, I'll even give you three times as much, but this won't appear on the internet. I hope we understand each other." he tried to look threatening, but that didn't scare us in the slightest.
Taemin was suddenly nowhere to be seen and I hoped that he had gone into the light. At the cars, my friends laughed and congratulated me on my successful improvisation and were happy about the extra money.
As it was already late, they all asked for a ride home, Mingi's cellar would be there tomorrow and we decided to meet up.
Namjoon dropped me off at my house. When we said goodbye, Hongjoong gave me a strange look, but I didn't think anything of it.
After I had closed the front door behind me, Jìmin met me in the hallway and smiled kindly, as always, and pulled me by the hand to the kitchen.
"Sit down San, Jin is at work, that's why I cooked." He spoke to me in his calm tone and then pushed a plate of Tteokbokki in front of me.
"My favorite meal, thank you, I'm really hungry," I said happily. Two hyungs in the house were really great, otherwise I always made myself instant ramen when Jin was at work.
After I finished eating, I was pretty tired, rinsed my plate and hugged Jimin to say thank you and goodnight.
"I hope you won't be angry if I go straight to bed? I'd love to stay up with you, but I'm so dog-tired..." I mumbled against his shoulder and he just hugged me tighter.
"No, don't worry, I'm going to bed too, sleep well, San," he said and gave me another kiss on the forehead.
"Night, Jimin, love you." With that, I released the hug and went to my room with a smile on my face. I was so happy that he was back.
Finally ready for bed, I slipped under the warm blanket and fell asleep peacefully.
I didn't know how long I had slept, but it was still dark outside.
Freezing, I searched for my comforter but couldn't find it. Confused, I looked around until I looked up in disbelief... the comforter was floating a meter above me in the air, but I was really stunned by the words who were now being spoken.
"Honey, I'm home..." I heard Taemin's velvety voice giggle.
