Wooyoung
We made no progress in our search for Jin before we too climbed the stairs. From then on, we heard the voices of the others. The sight that presented itself to us in the room was somewhat questionable. Namjoon was kneeling in front of an overwhelmed Jin, with a strange man standing behind him, while Tae's eyes were glowing red... wait, what?
I took a closer look, yes, they were glowing red. He noticed my gaze and pulled me into the hallway, while my boyfriend was too distracted to even notice.
"Tae, what's going on and what's wrong with you?" I asked, confused.
"You'll know in a minute." he said cryptically as he pressed me against the wall and held his hands to my temples.
An unexpected heat shot from his hands into my head, leaving a stabbing pain, I felt like he was drilling into my mind with a red-hot knife. Trying to fight back only made it worse, so I just let it happen to me.
A bright light appeared in front of my inner eye, followed by images, emotions and memories of my real life and the hundreds of lives I had led. They formed a whole in my mind, fitting together like pieces of a puzzle, and the pain ebbed away.
Taehyung hadn't lied, I knew again, felt complete for the first time in over 1000 years and understood what was going on, what was at stake.
I wasn't Wooyoung, the student who liked to smoke pot and was afraid of ghosts... I was Wooyoung, the guardian, one of the three most powerful demons in hell, created by Lilith to protect her sons.
In a way, all demons descended from her, she created us all, but then there were Seokjin, Yeosang and San, the sons of Lucifer, who were not created but born. The princes of hell. And the nice story Asmodaeus had told Jackson wasn't even close to the truth.
I looked at Taehyung in dismay when I remembered Yeosang.
"We failed..." I said bitterly, but Tae smiled encouragingly.
"Nothing is lost yet, Yeosang has only lost the human shell, we have to make him realize that he is not a simple ghost and can now access his true form."
"That would actually be helpful. We must destroy Asmodaeus... Once and for all."
Kai
My brother ran past me, straight into Jackson's arms, weeping with joy before pulling away from him again, swinging and smacking him so hard I feared Jackson was about to slam into the wall. Totally deserved. My best friend had been pestering Sehun for a year before he finally accepted him as a boyfriend and then disappeared without a trace after just three weeks.
I decided to let the two of them sort it out on their own, I could always smack Jackson later.
I found my way back to the unoccupied bar on my own.
Once there, I poured myself a glass of vodka, which I downed.
Only now did I see the handsome man sitting in an alcove, also drinking. He saw me, stood up and approached me with a dark look on his face, put his hands on my head so that I thought he was going to kiss me and closed his eyes expectantly
"Who gave you permission to drink my alcohol, outrageous in my world, human." he mumbled, then I heard a loud crack.
When I opened my eyes again, I was standing next to my body lying on the floor. As twisted as my neck looked, I was surely dead... and the stranger was long gone again...
