"No..." I cried out in frustration as I was thrown against the wall, just like Namjoon before me, and San and Yeosang simply walked into the room without me.

"Well, maybe that has something to do with you being a fallen angel?" he asked, watching me sympathetically as I rubbed a painful spot on the back of my head.

"They're on their own and none of them remember or have awakened. Maybe Jin woke up, but then he would have removed his fire again..." I pondered and Namjoon tilted his head thoughtfully.

"I don't think much is missing, all three of them are already awakening or almost had an experience... Yeosang when he died, San earlier when he saw Asmodaeus for the first time and Jin obviously right now. Asmodaeus' best chance would have been to take them out one by one and then seize their powers, but all three of them together, that'll be harder, they're much more powerful than him." he tried to reassure me, but I shook my head in despair.

"As long as they don't know that, they're easy victims for him." Icy fear had spread through me, wrapped itself around my heart and made my voice brittle. I remembered everything, how I had seen San for the first time and had known straight away that he was my second half, how I was always by his side, how close we were, how much we loved each other... of every single life lived as a human since then... of all our deaths. But this time it would be the last, he would not be reborn when Asmodaeus took his powers, because he would steal his soul in the process. I couldn't let that happen, so I had to find a way to get in there to protect him, with my own life if necessary.

"We need to get the others together so we can storm the room and help them as soon as the fire goes out," I said, determined not to just twiddle my thumbs until it was over.

"Okay, let's split up... but I'm not going into Yoongi and Mingi's room, I've caught them having sex too many times in the last millennia, it's not something you want to see." he said with a disgusted face and left unsuspectingly. I guess it was more difficult as a guardian because you had to have your eyes everywhere, whereas I only ever saw San. Well, Lucifer too of course, I worshipped him like nobody else, after all he had saved me from heaven and was like a father to me, had let me grow up together with his children, otherwise I wouldn't be standing here today, as my own father had already decided to eradicate my existence. The real reason why Lucifer had started the war in heaven was me. God was our creator, even if everyone called him father, he wasn't the real father of anyone, even if he called this Jesus guy his son, he too was only created by him... but me... I was the result of a certain god, who introduced himself incognito to everyone on earth as Baekhyun, saying that he wanted to know what sex felt like and had impregnated one of his angels. Not even an archangel with cool golden wings, no, my mother was of the lowest rank, only she was beautiful and just nearby when he came up with this crazy idea. Anyway, I was born and he got scared that I might eventually become stronger than him and destroy everything with these powers. Fun fact... I developed into a normal angel, no special powers, nothing at all... Yet he ordered Lucifer to kill me when I was a harmless little infant.

Lucifer had refused because he saw me as just an innocent little child and didn't want to make me pay for my father's mistakes. He said angels were just as precious as his beloved humans and they argued terribly. The angels split into two camps and a terrible war broke out. When Lucifer's army was about to be destroyed, he grabbed me and fled to hell, where God had already banished Lilith, who had been Adam's first wife, and the two of them raised me, together with their children and the army of demons she had created. I had never seen my father again, but I knew that Lucifer and he sometimes teamed up when the world was threatened with extinction, because no matter how much they fought and how it got out of hand, Lucifer was still God's favorite and what's the saying? No ying, no yang, no hell, no heaven... Good and evil don't count anyway, it blurs and mixes, whether above or below.

The fact that both had been here today proved two things. First, that things would be bad for humanity, heaven and hell if Asmodaeus won, and second, that Lucifer would definitely find a way to help his sons, even if he couldn't interfere.
