San
Jimin had fortunately made his wings disappear on the way back to the others; it would have been awkward to run through doors with them. The corridors and stairs, the foyer, everything was clear and there was no one to be seen. We reached the room where we had gathered and I looked around.
"Aren't there any missing?" I asked, remembering that the others had talked about Jackson and three other ghosts. Yeosang, who was still in Jin's embrace, also looked at everyone present. He furrowed his eyebrows thoughtfully and then looked at Jongho.
"Your brothers are here in the house, I met them with Jackson and Ravn," he said and Jongho's eyes widened in horror.
"Oh yes, we met Kai too." Hobi then explained and Hongjoong added.
"I think he fled in a different direction with Ravn when we ran away from Asmodaeus."
"Damn... we have to find them, they're just humans, or are they demons too?" Jongho asked with a small glimmer of hope, but everyone shook their heads in shock.
"No, you just happened to be born into their family. They may be your brothers now, but they're only human..." Namjoon informed him gently and Jongho jumped up.
"We have to find them. I don't want anything to happen to them because of me, they're just in danger because I messed up..." he shouted as he was about to sprint to the door, but Taehyung blocked his way and held him.
"You don't have one of your powers and you don't know where to look. You're definitely not going off on your own," he said sternly and actually made Jongho pause, but he looked desperately at Namjoon, thinking that he had the best chance of getting help from him. And he was right, because the guard stood up and came to his side.
"I'll go with him." he explained to Taehyung, who nodded.
"We're coming with you too." Jungkook and Wooyoung volunteered and then Yeosang also released himself from Jin's arms, who was more than unhappy about it.
"I know where he took them if he caught them... Have you ever wondered why the ghosts here in the house have a body every night because of him? He's really into mutilating people, so every night he has a few victims who are fully restored the next night... many of the first demons have this ability because they can also torture the spirits of sinners in hell and give them a body just for that..." Yeosang told us and thinking about it, it all suddenly made sense.
"Did he...?" I wanted to ask my twin brother, but he shook his head.
"No, he has no power over me, I never knew why, but I can change my solid and spirit form however and whenever I want. Now I figure it's because of who I am..." he reassured me with a slight smile.
"Back to Kai and Sehun... you said you knew where they were?" Jongho tried to get us focused again.
"Yeah right, I think he has them in his torture chamber." he said and Jongho turned paler and paler.
"You're going too, but first..." Taehyung suddenly said to Taemin and held both hands against his temples. Taemin stood there motionless, the first one who didn't scream or otherwise look agonized. He blinked for a moment and his eyes were red... then he looked at Yeosang and his gaze was so full of love and adoration. Then when he looked at me, I saw remorse and guilt in his eyes. He came up to me and put his hands on my cheeks.
"I'm so sorry San. I almost did... But you have to understand, your souls have exactly the same aura, I think that's why Jimin and I switched you." he said apologetically, but I smiled at him encouragingly.
"There's nothing to forgive, I took part in it too... we didn't know anything yet and to be honest, I still know almost nothing. So it's all good. And between us, we were both harmless while our two companions were with the wrong person for years." I comforted him and Jimin bit his lower lip, embarrassed.
"Enough babbling... Let's go now." Jongho then urged and pulled Namjoon out the door behind him, followed by the others.
