Caught completely off guard by the memories that flooded back to me, I broke away from the older man and looked at him in shock.
"Why didn't you say anything? Why would you rather suffer in silence than with me, who could have helped you? Do you know what I wanted to say to you that night?" I asked him, trembling. All the feelings that had been buried along with my memory, but had kept scratching the surface, came up again and brought tears to my eyes.
"I thought it would be better this way... I was afraid that you would blame yourself because of Yeosang. I didn't know what you'd said to each other, whether you'd fallen out. I didn't want you to suffer any more." He looked at me ruefully.
"I wanted to tell you that day that I love you and that it's over with Tae.... I wanted to be with you... And... I still do." I confessed to him quietly and received a surprised look.
"Really? You're serious?" he wanted to reassure me and I nodded, smiling and trying to blink away the tears, I didn't want to cry now.
"Do you think I'm joking about something like that? I remember everything that happened before Yeosang died and nothing has changed in my feelings." I reiterated and saw the corners of his mouth lift into a smile.
"But what about Taemin?" he asked, still slightly doubtful.
"I find him attractive, that's true... I might have made out with him, ok... but since I've remembered everything, I'm only interested in him as a friend... besides, he belongs to Yeosang." I looked seriously into his beautiful eyes and after a moment's hesitation, he threw his arms around my neck and hugged me tightly.
"I love you too, San." he whispered in my ear and I suddenly couldn't stop smiling happily. I wrapped my arms around him too and sought his lips again to kiss him with all my longing and intensity. How could I have forgotten those lips? It felt so incredibly good to hold him in my arms, as if we were made for each other... but then again, we were...
After a while, during which we couldn't stop exchanging caresses, we lay cuddled up together on the bed.
"Yeosang was about to wake up when he fell.... and I think I was too, but it was too late for Yeosang and I was prevented from doing so because Asmodaeus took away my memory. And you were right, I saw it too, he was pushed." I told Jimin and he looked at me thoughtfully.
"We have to stop him by any means necessary. The only question now is how we're going to manage to wake up. " he said, while I took his hand and was busy kissing each fingertip individually, which made him smile again.
"Well... I got some memories back from your stormy kiss... maybe we need to go a little further for more memories." I suggested as I tried to give him a seductive look, but the older man just giggled.
"Seriously? Your ex-boyfriend is standing outside the door and I don't know how good his demon hearing is, but I'd hate for him to overhear us having sex." Unfortunately, he rejected my suggestion.
"I can put on headphones!" Tae called through the closed door and Jimin raised an eyebrow, his expression speaking volumes.
"But you could also just go away for a while Tae..." I tried my luck again, but I wasn't granted it.
"Forget it, I'll protect you, come what may. I don't care what you do in there, I've already had my fun today anyway. I'm certainly not going to get anyone down on you here."
Tae's words didn't comfort me or Jimin and we sank back into the pillows in defeat.
"Then maybe another way for us to wake up? I could put myself in danger, surely that should be enough for you?" he reasoned and I immediately shook my head violently.
"Absolutely out of the question, you won't do anything like that," I said firmly and he laughed softly again.
"As soon as we're together, you start giving orders..." he said amused and I snorted sulkily.
"Have you forgotten? I'm your prince, I have to practise."
