Chapter 1.4 - Lunch Break Antics

Lunch break.

Under normal circumstances, I usually go to my sanctum, the rooftop, where no one bothers me.

But today, because of our class leader, everyone, including me, sits still until Alex takes the center stage.

Others are waiting in anticipation while I just lie on the desk with my face buried under my arms hoping that it will be over soon.

He clears his throat and starts talking about his proposal.

"Sorry for keeping you all like this, but since I heard that not everyone is up for the upcoming excursion and this event seems more like a study trip, I've been wondering if we can do some activities and make this more enjoyable."

"So what do you think we should do?", asks a boy from the back.

"Not me. I want you guys to do the suggestion."

"Like what?"

This time it's a girl from the front.

"Anything that you think might be enjoyable. Since it's a holiday for the next two days, we can do night camping as well. And if your suggestions are within limits, I can get permission from Mr. C."

"Yeeeaaahhhh!!!"

The class stirs into chaos by his sudden announcement, making it unbearable to sleep anymore. Now that I am wide awake, I decided to see where this is heading for the time being.

That's when a blonde-haired girl steps right next to Alex.

She has pale white skin and a face with impeccable proportions. Her hair is smooth and goes all the way to her waist.

Glancing at her proud figure from the side like this makes me wonder, thinking that I am in a prestigious school with people like her.

Not only that, it seems like most of the guys are sitting more dumbfounded than me, mesmerized by her beauty.

When she lashes her hair in front of everyone, I feel like it's glittering.

I think to myself that it's one of the moments when people say that they saw it. The one they call real beauty.

"Now, now, please be silent. Just like our leader suggested, we should also suggest things one at a time."

The way her hands move as she explains almost seems poetic and entrancing. But it seems the crowd has other plans.

A girl leaps out of her chair, grinning mischievously and says, "Leader? He's your boyfriend, isn't he?"

"That's right, so act more like it!"

"Yeah!"

The crowd completely agrees as they sing these in unison.

The girl's face is completely red with all their comments.

"Y-You guys!!!"

It looks like she's pouting and pleading for help, looking at Alex, but he just stands there with a frozen smile albeit his face is quite flustered too.

Looks like everyone is enjoying teasing them.

Now that I think about it, I do remember her. I think she is our vice president.

-So that girl is Alex's girlfriend? They look good when they're together. I should be happy about them too.

But wait, isn't this discussion going somewhere else entirely?

Just when I think that I should say something about this, the green-haired guy from the morning stands from his seat, making a loud creaking sound.

Hearing that, everyone becomes silent as he aloofly makes his way to the exit.
