"Alright!! To all the brilliant students who gathered today, I once again thank all of you for coming here. I hope you can enjoy this little project of ours and I promise that this will be a life-changing event for all of you."

Mr.C started the excursion with his welcome speech trying to liven the spirits of others. But it seems like he's the only one who is enthusiastic about all this...

"I should write his words right at this moment when my feelings have been enlightened..."

Or not...

I let out a sigh retaking my last words seeing the glasses dude.

I was at the back of the crowd to avoid any further attention to myself.

We all decided to meet at the location of the meteor site(except for the fact that they didn't ask me though).

The further back of the crater was lined with things like tenting equipment, barbecue stands and other kinds of stuff.

Looks like our leader made all the arrangements before as he said yesterday.

"Just so you know, with all the cracks in here the crater is quite unstable right now. Since your safety is of utmost importance we can't continue this as a class. So I decided that we should divide and rotate our jobs wisely."

"Split? By how?"

"By using this."

Mr.C pulled out a glass bowl full of paper lots from behind.

"So everyone, line up!!"

With his bold declaration, everyone formed a line and started to pick paper lots one by one.

Without much commotion, each one picked their lots, looked at it once and hid it in the palm of their hands.

And soon after comes my turn.

"So Glenn, pick up your choice."

"Well, there is not much to choose from since I am the last one."

Feeling disheartened I said to him looking at the last paper scrap in it. But Mr.C smiled warmly at me and said,

"You know there is a saying that goes like the best one will always be saved for the last. So I don't think you being the last doesn't change the value of what's in store for you."

"Even though I am not satisfied with that?"

"If you're not satisfied then why bother waiting for others?", he retorted.

"Well...I..."

In response to my mumbling, Mr. C placed his hand on my shoulders.

"Just don't hesitate and wait for others to fulfil your deeds."

Don't hesitate, huh? Hearing that from someone made me all warm inside.

Before I started to reply a voice from the crowd interrupted by saying,

"Teacher, how long are you going to stay there? Shouldn't we start by now?"

He spoke those words as if he was not even trying to hide his laziness.

"Oh yes! Absolutely!"He exclaimed and raised the glass bowl towards me and said, "Now then Glenn if you wouldn't mind..."

"Sure and ...I'm sorry."

I hesitantly picked the last paper lot in the bowl when Mr.C looked at me with his smile frozen till the end.

After handling that Mr.C instructed us to gather together.
