There was nothing pleasant about waking up at 5 am just to get to sectional training with a group of people whom you don't exactly like, But it was mandatory and I'd rather participate in useless group activities than have to face the council for punishment due to lack of attendance. I hear they're really harsh on people who don't show up, saying that "laziness is not an option in our busy society" but I know it's purely because they lose money.

I walk up to the very tall building, the Sectional Recreational Center- or SRC for short. Basically you come here three days a week from the age of twelve to eighteen. In the building there are 4 sections, Air, Water, Fire, and Environment. Based on whichever element you were assigned when you were born is where you go.

I wish I could say that we get these cool super powers based on which you get but that's not the case, it's basically a system they use for organization.

I was unfortunately assigned Environment element when I was born so I get the great job of working for, you guessed it, the environment. Not that I mind considering all the other elements have pretty crap jobs. SRC is basically like school, which you're taken out of when you come here, except it's focused on only your future job. You do a bunch of activities involving, in my case the environment and we practice whatever we'll need when we turn 18.

When you're 18 you're automatically transferred to a job that needs you within your element and you're stuck with that job until you retire, or until you're fired, but nobody gets fired because then you're sent to the Council, which like I said they're not easy. And then of course there's the case that you find your soulmate.

Your soulmate is the person who share the exact same birthmark as you. See, everyone is born with a unique birthmark that is located on their chest where their heart is. You only share this birthmark with one person, the only person that you are truly compatible with. The catch is, your birthmark only appears when you have your first kiss with said soulmate, so most people don't even know what their birthmark looks like.

When you do find your soulmate, you're able to take a leave on your job for 5 years and in this time you get married with your soulmate and start a family.

I unfortunately have not found my soulmate and am only 17, so here I am walking to the Environment room of SRC.

When I walk up to the room I swipe my ID and walk in. There are already a few people here, even though we still have 20 minutes before we start. Right away I see that my best mate is here, Alex- one of the very few people whom I don't hate. He catches glimpse of me and waves me over to him. I take a seat at the table with him and our friend Jack.

"Hey Kellin." Alex greets me.

"Hey guys." I said.

"So are you excited?" Jack asked me.

"Not really. I was really enjoying vacation." I admit and they both laugh softly. Just like school, we take a break during summer, but now it's September again and we're starting a new year.

"Tell me about it. During vacation I was going to sleep at 5am, not waking up." Jack said and once again we laughed. After that we made small talk until our instructor arrived.

"Good morning, everyone!" The instructor said when he walked in. Our instructor's name was Mr.Way and although he only started last semester, he was exceptionally better than the old instructor we had.

Mr.Way had fantastic orange hair that contrasted off his pale complexion beautifully and matched his personality well. Mr. Way was a very bubbly person that liked to get his work done but if you did what you needed to do and was respectful to him, then he was as sweet as sugar.
