Sorry this took me so long. Here's a long chapter.

I ran around my room, tossing clothes around and random candy wrappers that I swore I threw out. 'Where is it?' I thought to myself. Today was Vic's birthday and we planned to hang out together, but I can never leave my house if I never find my other shoe!

"Kellin, can you help me with-"

"Not now, Dodie," I rushed out, frustrated, waving my hand to my little sister that was now standing by my doorway. Sisters could be such a pest. They're always there when you don't need them.

"Mom's going to get made 'cause your room is a mess,"

"And your room is clean?" I countered. She bit on her lip and looked away, guilty. "Okay, what do you want?" I asked, standing up right and only now seeing my shoe-the one I've been looking for the past 10 minutes- just sitting there, right by Dodie's foot.

"I need help with my homework," She said.

"Go ask Josh, I'm leaving." I told her, grabbing the shoe and slipping it on before leaving my room, having her follow me as I go downstairs.

"Where are you going?" She asked.

"Vic's. It's his birthday and-"

"I wanna go!" Amy's head suddenly popped up from behind the couch as she called out. Even though we had that talk with her about her and Vic, she still really likes spending time with him and asks almost everyday when he will come over.

"No," I said simply, going over to the front door and collecting the car keys. I don't usually drive, because it freaks me out, especially since Josh had his accident. But I can drive and Dad already agreed to letting me borrow his car.

"Why not?" She questioned, now right behind me.

"Because Vic and I need to spend time, alone." I explained.

"Are you guys gonna kiss?" She asked, scrunching up her nose in disgust.

"Maybe," I shrugged, looking down at the keys in my hand. Butterflies aggressively fluttered at the pit of my stomach, finding their way to my chest. I felt like such a school girl, waiting for their senpai to notice them.

I then remembered who was asking me this and that there were two, little girls standing before me.

"I'm leaving now," I told them before grabbing the paper bag I left by the door, filled with things I needed to take with me, and a backpack before swiftly walking out the front door.

Vic's birthday just so happened to land on the same weekend that his dad is out of town. So we decided that we would hang out at his place for it. I'm kind of surprised that Mom and Dad let me come here alone. Since I had that mini outburst at dinner a few weeks ago about having sex, my parents have been super anal about when and where I spent time with Vic, even though I've confirmed that Vic and I haven't done anything, they still make it a big deal. I wonder how they would react if they found out Josh has condoms laying around?

When I arrived at Vic's, it didn't take long for him to answer the door with a huge smile plastered on his face. And it was so contagious, I couldn't help but smile back.

"Happy birthday, babe." I cheered, feeling giddy all of a sudden.

"Thanks. What's that?" He asked, gesturing to my large paper bag as I entered the house. His attention went from me to my bag so fast, he sounded like a child with a short attention span.

"Well, I don't exactly have a rich mom and dad so for your birthday present I got you this," I explained, reaching into the bag and pulling out a large bottle of wine that Josh bought for me since he's old enough to do those things.
