So this chapter is a little longer which I hope makes up for me being awful at updating. Cx

The next morning I woke up with the worst headache imaginable. No matter where my eyes fell, a pinching feeling would occur, making me wince. I think I'll just stay in bed today, Like usual.

I gave into my thoughts and tucked myself under the duvet and closed my eyes. I'm not sure how long my eyes were closed. It felt like a second but when I moved, my arm was asleep. What felt like a blink could have easily been hours worth of sleep.

"Kellin, get up." The voice I recognized as my mom's spoke. That must have been what woke me up.

I sat up and looked at my mom who was holding broom. And soon enough, three, little kids followed her like a shadow. What was this, a family reunion in Kellin's room?

My mom has a key to all the rooms in the house- not that there were many. So even though my door was locked and I was asleep, she still had a way to easily let herself in.

"What's going on?" I ask her with a raspy voice, covered in sleep.

"We're cleaning," she said then put the broom in my tingling hand. My arm, half asleep and heavy, drops the broom to the floor with a loud smack, like I upset the wooden floor and that was its instinctive growl.

"Seriously?" I ask in annoyance. The last thing I want to do is clean. I have to admit, I don't have my headache anymore, but that doesn't make the urge to clean anymore present. In fact, it's nonexistent.

"Yes, seriously," she responded. "Look at your room, it's a disaster."

My room was a mess but I liked it this way. I knew where everything was and everything was at easy access. If she didn't like it, then she could just get out.

"Well, get to it," She said with a clap, then collected all her duckling, and got out.

I stared at all the stuff that needed to be picked up and thought about how long this was going to take before actually getting up and doing it.

Eventually I did, and started by grabbing all the articles of clothing I could find, and threw them in my closet, dity or not.

Next, I collected all the random garbage and stuffed it in a garbage bag until there was no room left, and just gave up on picking up anymore. I was starting to see parts of my room I hadn't seen in a long time, when my phone began to ring.

I skipped over to my bed where I heard the noise, but there was no sign of my phone. The noise went on as I desperately shook the covers on my bed, until I saw my phone practically fly across the room.

My heart nearly stopped at the awful sound it made when it kissed the floor. I quickly picked my precious device up and answered it, after making sure there were no cracks.

"Hello?"

"Kellin, look out your window." Tay's voice flows through my phone.

I raise a brows and walk over to my window, pulling back my curtains, then peering out. Once my eyes adjust to the sunlight, I see Tay's car in my driveway, and her waving her hand from out the window.

"Why?"

"Come on, we're gonna go to Jack's," she said.

I sigh and let the curtains fall back into place. "I can't. I have to do chores."
