We had exactly a week before training would officially be over, and everyone would start their career after summer. Everyone was growing up, and things were happing so fast. It feels like we only started training a month ago, and now we're almost out of here.
For this last week, nobody really did much. Everyone had pretty much taken their aptitude test that determined what job they would advance in. It was exciting to think that soon we will all be adults in the real world and at the same time, completely terrifying.
"Vic and I are going to look at some houses today," I said to Alex and Jack. We were sitting on the floor in our training room, because they had already removed all the tables and chairs in the rooms for summer. My head was on Alex's lap, and Jack sat beside him.
"His mom found somebody?" Alex asked, running his fingers through my hair, I closed my eyes at the relaxing sensation.
"Mhm."
Vic had asked Jay if she could help us out with this, and many weeks later she finally came through with somebody who was willing to put aside that we were both male. Vic text me last night and told me that after training I could go with him, and then we'd met up with the realtor to see a few places. Of course I was excited. We were going to be looking at potential homes for Vic and I to live in, where we will be on our own to start our lives together.
Apparently, Vic's dad didn't give a shit when he told him. He said he was fine with Vic and I living together, just as long as we didn't get married. But I think he just said that because he just wanted Vic to not be around him anymore, which wasn't right, but at least he was still helping us with the expenses. And of course his mom was more than thrilled that her son was growing up and moving in with his soulmate.
I had told my parents just last night, and my dad was happy, and said he would help with anything we needed, and my mom cried. She cried because she said I was growing up too fast and she didn't want to lose me, but I'm sure it was just the hormones. The crying part. Amy was very confused, when I told her, but I tried my best to explain things to her, and she seemed okay with it after I agreed she could come over whenever she wanted to hang out with Vic and I.
"That's great," Alex said and nothing else. I hope I wasn't making him or Jack feel bad. I know that they are on the same boat as Vic and I, and I don't want them to think that I believe we are doing better than them because that is not the case at all.
"So have you guys thought about... you know...telling people?" I asked, opening my eyes and looking between the two. As far as I knew, they were very hush hush about themselves and their relationship. Nobody knew about them, not even their family. It was just me, Vic and Tay who did.
"I don't know, I think we're going to wait a while," Alex said and Jack nodded in agreement.
"Why?"
"You know, most people don't find their soulmates as young as we have, so there would be no harm in waiting a little while," Alex explained.
"Yeah, and in that time we can start working and save up some money just in case it doesn't turn out well," Jack said. I guess I never thought about the fact that we were still so young and we have already found our soulmate. Of course there have been cases where this happens, and even some situation where they are younger, it's just really rare. But I'm happy for them, and I'm glad that they're on the same page and deciding to wait.
"Boys," a fourth voice spoke. The three of us looked ahead and met Mr.Way. today he was wearing some old-looking jeans and a black and white stripped shirt. He looks absolutely adorable. I'm going to miss him being my instructor.
I sat up and turned so I could properly face him. I was expecting bad news. I was waiting for him to say that our business was a flop and it wasn't going to work. The three of us had taken aptitude tests just in case, and had a few jobs lined up that were willing to take us. Mine were super lame with not very good pay, but I would have to take what I could get at the end.
