Exchange
MEZUL

I WOKE UP feeling lightheaded. With a little headache, memories come flashing in my head.

Alright, here we go again...

I have been looking for the Crown Prince for more than a year. I fought a dark creature who turns out to be prinsipe Ul. I had a hard time fighting him, but I manage to make him remember though in the end, before I passed out, he stabbed me with---

Shit.

Mula sa pagkakahawak ng ulo na nananakit ay napahawak ako sa aking tiyan to check my stab wound. However, I did not feel pain.

But there's no wound nor any scar as a sign that I was almost slashed into half.

"So, I'm not dead, huh?"

I got lucky again.

I am alive must be because the prince spared me---

I felt my cheeks getting hot from the embarrassment.

Seriously, Mezul? What has gotten into your head?

At talagang muntik na akong maghubad sa harap niya, huh? I should've checked my surroundings first before I focused on my body! That's a must!

Our eyes suddenly locked to each other... His eyes might be burning red in color, but they look tired and empty. I can sense that he is still not completely okay. Despite the burning color, something is telling me that the coldness of his gaze cannot be erased.

"Sir Del...?" I said and blinked. "Prinsipe Ul?" Pagtatama ko sa sarili.

There's only one guy.

He is sitting on a log, topless with half of his body marked with ink, holding a stick and scribbling patterns on the ground. His hair is back on being black with a touch of red and it looks like it was cut short just now.

The trace of ashes must be his hair that he burnt. I was trapped in a cell inside of a dark chamber. He left me with an unexplainable impression with his waist-length hair then but him having a short hair now hits different. His short hair made him look like a totally different person.

Not the easy-going and friendly face that Sir Del shows to the Averian University's students. I know for a fact now that that was only a facade and the face, he showed me in that dream was the real one that came first into my mind.

I should not let my guard down.

"You're awake..."

All of a sudden, my headache was gone just by the mere sight of him.

Prinsipe Ul has gotten taller. Not as tall and as bulky of that monster I tried fighting.

He looks more mature that I mistake him for Sir Del... They look exactly the same now but... my fast-beating heart is the evidence that I am looking at the right person. This familiar rhythm... My heart is telling me that he is my mate. It's prinsipe Ul. It's peculiar...
