Chapter 247 - [Tsunami in Country I. Jiang family's had of household safety unknown.] (2)

Cheng Huan was very out of it. She tried to reach out to Jiang MingYuan again after her call with the consulate. She tried any and all social network applications but heard nothing back from any of them.

Sitting on the floor, she was expressionless. A big chunk seemed to be missing inside of her and cold air came from the inside of her and her limbs were frozen.

That was what XingXing saw when he woke up.

He had put his own clothes on and even missed one of the buttons. The little kiddo was groggy. He walked over, sat down on the floor across from Cheng Huan and said, "Mommy, I am hungry. What are we having for breakfast?"

Cheng Huan was pulled back to reality when she heard the voice of her son. Her gaze finally had focus again and she could see XingXing. Both sadness and fear increased inside of her.

Cheng Huan looked up and blinked. She kept her sadness under control and got up from the floor. Putting down her cellphone, she pulled XingXing up. "Don't sit on the floor."

"I am only sitting on the floor because Mommy was."

Cheng Huan wasn't in the mood to joke around with XingXing. She merely grunted an acknowledgement, brought him over to the dining room, and walked inside of the kitchen herself.

She saw the news when she was sifting the flour and nothing else had been done. Breakfast was just a bowl of porridge. The porridge was cooked with the rice cooker so all was well. Cheng Huan scooped and bought out a bowl of porridge along with some pickled vegetables for XingXing.

XingXing was a bit surprised by the simple breakfast but didn't say much. He drank half a bowl of soup docilely and asked curiously when he saw that hi smother hadn't touched her share at all. "Aren't you going to eat, Mommy?"

"Mommy is not hungry." How could she have appetite at this moment in time? She forced a smile on herself and rubbed XingXing on his head. "You enjoy.

"Alright." XingXing didn't feel that anything was wrong and finished the rest of the porridge. He put down the spoon, wiped his mouth, and was about to dash outside. "I am going to play, Mommy."

He didn't even wait for his mother's response when he was done talking. He spent his entire morning having a great time in the toy room upstairs. When he came back down when he was hungry, it was still cold inside the house. His mother was still where she was this morning. Nevermind about preparing lunch, she hasn't even washed his dishes from breakfast yet.

The little kiddo was a bit worried now. Holding a hand over his stomach, he walked over to Cheng Huan and asked, worried, "Are you ill?"

"No." Cheng Huan ran her hand over her face. She had thought about a lot in the morning and, now that she saw XingXing, made a decision. "Do you want to go out with Mommy?"

"Sure!" The little kiddo was particularly interested in going out to have fun. He had forgotten about being hungry when he heard that. Running over and wrapping his arms around Cheng Huan's leg, he looked up and asked, "Is Daddy coming with?"

"Mmm." Cheng Huan had to take a step back to steady herself when the little kiddo threw himself at her. Standing all morning long, her legs were numb and she could barely bend her knees.

Massaging her leg muscles, Cheng Huan frowned. After the tinkling sensation subsided, Cheng Huan's legs regained feelings again.

Cheng Huan was resolute. Once she had decided to go look for the man, she and XingXing had left the house two hours later.

They would not need VISA to go to Country I and that saved a lot of work. Coincidentally, there was a 4 PM flight heading to the capital of Country I.

Cheng Huan took XingXing with her and completed the formalities at the airport. She purchased some simple lunch. She still didn't have much appetite but she forced herself to eat some.

After lunch, she had XingXing on her lap while she read the news as she waited for their time to board.
