"Hold on," Juleka said, taking a sip of her tea. Luka was sat on his bed, Juleka sat at his desk. This was a usual routine for them when they needed to talk. One would wordlessly appear in the other's room with two hot cups of tea and the other would follow them into their room. The rule was that the one that needed to talk should be the one in their safe space. It was never even really established or discussed, it was just something built up over years of heartache and stress. She crossed her legs and got comfortable as she processed the news Luka has just told them. 

Juleka wasn't surprised when Luka came in holding the cups of tea. They heard him dash to the kitchen and the telltale signs of tea being made almost the second he came back from taking (Y/N) to their car. But they weren't sure what Luka was going to say. Him and (Y/N) kissed! They're going on a date! What more is there to talk about? "So what's going on?"

"I don't know how to phrase this," Luka said "I think I just need to ramble about it to get my thoughts straight, maybe gush about (Y/N) a little, is that okay?" he waited for Juleka to nod. "Yesterday was... a lot. I was with (Y/N) and we got separated during the akuma attack, which was fucking terrifying. I didn't stop calling them, but eventually we meet up after, and I didn't want (Y/N) to go home after that. I was still scared shitless something might happen. I didn't want them out of my sight, so we came here right?" 

"Right" Juleka says skeptically, clearly unsure where this was going. 

"They shower, I make dinner, watch a movie and fall asleep." Luka continues, omitting the part where he lost his shit over how cute they looked in his clothes. " It had to have been around three in the morning when (Y/N) woke up in a panic. I don't even remember how many times I tried waking them up. They couldn't stop shaking. But they woke up and immediately dove into my arms. Eventually, (Y/N) started talking about their parents and saying some really personal things that I'm not going to repeat because it's their privacy- but we kissed." he said, his eyes watering as he remembered how helpless they both felt that night. Luka, wanting to help (Y/N) and (Y/N) finally breaking down, he can't even imagine how overdue that breakdown was. "I know they're happy we did, but that's really not how I thought it would happen, you know?" 

Juleka nods, sitting up "Yeah, I get it. Rose and I's first kiss was..." she paused, smiling fondly at the memory and laughing a little to herself "hardly what I thought it would be, but I don't regret that it happened. As long as you both wanted it, it's okay. The universe does things in a funny way that doesn't always make sense. We don't have to question every good thing that happens just because the circumstances were unexpected. If it bothers you that much bring it up, but I say you should just let yourself be excited." 

Juleka took Luka's hands in hers, a sudden serious look in her eye when she noticed the doubt and worry in his "I'm proud of you. I know how hard it's been for you, how scary it is to put yourself out there again. But this one will work out, I have a really good feeling about it." 

Luka nodded, pulling Juleka into a hug with an uncontrollable smile. His cheeks slightly flushed. He really was excited about this. Hearing from someone else that things will work out did wonders for his nerves. The moment didn't last very long as the reality of the situation settled in. "Could you do me one small favor though?" 

Juleka pulled away, skeptical and a little apprehensive as she looked at her brother "Depends, what do you need?" 

"Don't tell Marinette about this." Luka says "Please"

Juleka felt a flare of protectiveness over (Y/N). Was her brother seriously about to tell her that (Y/N) was some kind of rebound to pass the time while he pined for Marinette? The girl that treated him like garbage? She moved her hand up as if to smack some sense into him.
