THEY RETURNED TO NEW ORLEANS TO FIND NONE OF THEIR PROBLEMS HAD MAGICALLY DISAPPEARED. Davina was still dead, their kingdom was still suffering, and Marcel couldn't care less. Klaus was determined to change that.

"Hey, Marcel, maybe you know what's going on." Diego wondered. "Klaus ordered us to meet here and now he's a no-show."

"What do you want from me? It's a new regime. Get used to it." Marcel grumbled.

Enola watched the small altercation from a distance. She was seated at a table in the courtyard waiting to see what solution Klaus had come up with. She hadn't been expecting Marcel to show up. None of them had. Ever since Davina, he had been in his own world. She sighed before looking back down to the sketchpad in her lap. On one hand, she wanted to help him. On the other hand, she felt as if it wasn't her place. They haven't even had an actual conversation. That is why she found it strange when he took the open seat across from her with his almost empty bottle of booze. Neither of them spoke. They just basked in the comfortable silence like it was second nature.

"Dearest brethren, your attention, please." Klaus clapped, entering the compound with a familiar face. "No doubt you are all surprised to see Thierry Vanchure, who is supposed to be rotting in the garden for the crime of killing one of our own, and I personally decided to issue him with a pardon." He grinned as if this was the best idea he had ever offered up. "I hope you'll all welcome home Thierry."

Diego captured Thierry in a bone crushing hug as everyone clapped and cheered. Klaus wasn't really interested in the reunion. He just wanted to earn everyone's favor. And as he glanced around the room he could see that he had almost accomplished just that. Almost. Marcel didn't seem as convinced. He left the vampires to it as he made his way over to the table. Imagine his surprise when he spotted Enola also seated there.

"You're in a good mood," Marcel noted. "You should visit Mystic Falls more often."

"I assure you, Mystic Falls has nothing to do with it." Klaus grinned, eyes flickering to Enola. "Besides, I have much more pressing responsibilities here."

"Which are what exactly?" Enola quirked a brow.

"Now, as you all know, the witch Davina is no longer with us." Klaus announced, drawing everyone's attention back to him. "Without Davina, we can no longer monitor the activity of our witch neighbors. However, since their harvest failed, their magic will soon be gone forever. Until then, I say we keep them on their toes." His eyes flickered around the room until they landed on a specific person. "Diego, I wonder if you might lead a rousting in the cauldron."
