He hated her upon first glance, like a child not getting their way or demand.

He watched as she nonchalantly pushed her food around her plate, seemingly unbothered by the hunger that gnawed at the stomachs of those less fortunate. She left half of it untouched, as though finishing a meal was beneath her.

It was a display of privilege that filled him with disgusting jealousy, a stark reminder of the vast divide between the haves and the have-nots.

But it wasn't just her disregard for basic human decency that fueled his disdain.

It was her arrogance—- her belief that her family name alone would pave the way for her success. While others toiled and fought tooth and nail for their dreams, she simply coasted on the coattails of her prestigious lineage. It was an insult to those who had worked tirelessly to earn their place in the world.

Coriolanus couldn't understand how someone could be so apathetic, so detached from the struggles of those around them. It was as if she lived in a bubble, shielded from the harsh realities of life.

While others fought for every opportunity, she seemed content to rely on her family's connections and wealth.

And yet, despite his disdain, Coriolanus couldn't help but be intrigued by her indifference. There was something captivating about her ability to remain unfazed by the world's injustices. The privilege to pick and choose what she wished to bother herself with.

It was a quality he couldn't quite comprehend, but one that drew him in nonetheless.

As he observed her from across the room, he couldn't help but wonder what lay beneath her seemingly impenetrable facade. There was something about her that drew him in, something that made him want to know more about her.

Was it her intelligence? Her confidence? Or was it simply the challenge of trying to break through her icy exterior and get to know the real Tempest Galdur?

Coriolanus knew that he should let go of his animosity (never mind obsession, that's the word), that it served no purpose other than to fuel his own bitterness. But he couldn't help himself. There was something about her that ignited a fire within him.

Tempest Galdur sat there, and she didn't care.
