Maybe the past is like an anchor holding you back. Maybe, you have to let go of who you were to become who you will be.

"You're sick," he remarked as they exited the Citadel and headed towards the street. "How can you find amusement in something like that?"

Despite struggling to contain his own laughter, Tempest didn't pay much attention to his comment. "Deceivers," she confidently murmured. "It's quite an accomplishment if you can avoid getting caught. Unfortunately, she couldn't."

Coriolanus ponders over this briefly, but soon his thoughts wander far away and he finds himself gazing wistfully down the street. Sensing his unease, she inquires, "Is something troubling you?" Her genuine concern catches him off guard, as he had never heard her speak with such sincerity before, especially not towards him. He wishes the moment could last forever, standing there with her by his side, as she continues to speak in that soothing tone he never realized she had.

He asks, "Are you concerned about the Capitol's disregard for our lives? If Clemensia had written the proposal instead of us, we might have died. If those who are supposed to protect us are so negligent, how do we make it through? We definitely can't depend on them. And If we can't have faith in them, then who can we rely on? All bets are off."

In the midst of his overwhelming emotions, he nearly loses track of the person he is conversing with. If someone had told him just a month ago that he would confide his deepest concerns to Tempest Galdur, he would have dismissed it as absurd and thought of them as insane. Yet, here he stood, finding solace in her gentle laughter.

"Isn't that the whole idea?" She asks. "If we constantly feel cautious and uncertain about the consequences of deviating from the norm, we will never take that leap."

He takes a daring glance, only to find that she is already gazing back at him. In that moment, time seems to stand still as he becomes captivated by the depth and beauty within her eyes. They hold a certain warmth and tenderness that he had never seen before. It's as if they have the power to heal wounds and mend broken hearts.

Those eyes, once filled with an enigmatic intensity that seemed to see through his very soul, now radiate with a gentle compassion. The walls he had built around himself begin to crumble under the weight of her caring gaze. It's a peculiar sensation, to be seen and understood so deeply by someone he barely knows.

This girl, a mysterious puzzle, has always seemed to navigate through life with an unwavering determination and passion. Her eyes, like windows into her soul, have always held a certain fire that drew him in. But now, as she looks at him with genuine kindness, he realizes that there is more to her than meets the eye.

In her gaze, he sees a reflection of his own vulnerabilities and fears, but also a glimmer of hope and acceptance. It's as if she understands the battles he has fought and the scars he carries, yet she doesn't shy away from them. Instead, she embraces him with a compassion that he never thought he deserved.
