“Shy angel”
"Now go and never disturb me," Jimin said as he left Jiho outside his apartment door and opened his room door. Just then, he felt a tug on his shirt. He turned around, confused to see Jiho pulling at his shirt with a pout.
"What now?" he asked, trying to pull his shirt away from Jiho's grip. But it seemed Jiho enjoyed holding onto it, so Jimin decided to let him do what he wanted.
"I don't have key-s," Jiho said, still tugging on Jimin's shirt. Jimin started to think about what to do next. He couldn't just leave the boy alone, but he also didn't want to deal with him. Ugh! He hated kids, but he wasn't heartless enough to abandon Jiho. As he thought about Jiho's parents, anger bubbled up inside him. How could they leave their child alone? The poor kid almost got hit by a car.
"Your parents are so irresponsible! How can they leave you like this, huh? Where are they? Tell me where your mother is, huh? And your father, of course, he's busy with work, right?" He placed his hands on his hips and pushed his hair back, but quickly turned to the little boy when he heard him sobbing.
He was really crying.
"My mama is no mor-e... and m-y appa is bu-sy," Jiho said.
Oh god, Jimin felt a wave of sympathy for him. He had lost his mother when he was young too, and he could relate to Jiho's pain. Without thinking, he hugged Jiho and gently rubbed his back. "Ahhhh, don’t cry, okay?" He picked Jiho up and walked into the apartment with him in his arms. He set him down on the couch and told him to sit quietly.
Ji-ho gave a nod and glanced around, grinning as he took in the lovely artwork hanging on the walls and the adorable teddy bears scattered across the couch. He gently set the puppy down on the mat, and the little thing started wiggling its ears, looking like a proper fluffy ball of fur as it watched Ji-ho walked over to the pink coloured wall covered in paintings.
He let out a chuckle when he spotted one of Jimin's childhood photos. "He's so gorgeous, just like my mom was."
"I've cooked some yummy food for you, come over here." He spun around quickly to see Jimin approaching with a bowl on a tray. Without hesitation, he ran over to Jimin and hopped onto the couch like an excited rabbit, beaming widely. But his smile disappeared when he saw the noodles.
Jimin handed him some chopsticks, though Ji-ho found himself staring at him, remembering how his mother used to make him the exact same noodles when she was still around. He hadn't touched noodles since losing her, but today something made him want to try them again. "Stop staring at me - my cooking's brilliant, now eat up." Said Jimin with a chuckle.
Ji-ho nodded and carefully tasted the noodles, his grin getting bigger. "These are delicious, thanks."
Jimin nodded back, feeling incredibly happy and at peace watching this little kid eat with such joy. It reminded him of his own tears when he'd lost his mother - he could see himself in Ji-ho. Without thinking, he reached out and gently stroked the boy's head. When Ji-ho felt Jimin's soft, warm touch, he looked up with eyes that absolutely sparkled as he gazed at Jimin. He slowly held out his chopsticks toward Jimin's mouth. "You are also hungry, please have some, angel." That snapped Jimin back to reality and he quickly pulled his hand away, frowning at Ji-ho's words.
"How'd you know? "Jimin asked, squinting at him.
"Ha! Because your belly's making all sorts of noise asking for some food," Ji-ho said with a giggle, covering his mouth with one hand as he laughed.
Jimin sat up straighter. "Right, right!" he said, taking the chopsticks from Ji-ho and starting to eat while the little boy watched him with a smile. "You're really beautiful," Ji-ho said.
Jimin choked on his noodles, coughing as he set the chopsticks down on the bowl." Hey stop talking and eat your food, I'll return soon, " And with those words he walked out of the room.
Ji-ho giggled, " Shy angel! "
