“Hope”

Jimin was in the kitchen where he had made a tasty dinner and put it on the table. He put his hands together and breathed hard as he waited for Jiho and Jungkook to arrive. For a week now, both of them had been coming to his flat to eat in the morning and at night.

The three of them looked like a family to other people. That's what people called them and thought of them.

So Jimin was waiting for them like always when his phone rang. His smile went away when he saw his dad's number on the screen.

Why is he calling me now after 2 years?

His hands were tremblingbut he answered the call anyway. He didn't want to be mean but he didn't know how to talk to the man who threw him out and said he had no son.
That his son was dead.

"Why are you calling me Mr Park? Didn't you say I was dead to you?" he said on the phone.

"You still haven't changed at all Jimin. Same bad attitude. Forget that. I'm calling because I need you to sign some important papers so meet me at the xxx restaurant tomorrow," his father said in a cold voice.

"Why? I don't want to see you. You threw me out. I'm nothing to you. So please don't expect me to meet you for some stupid signatures. Ask your other son. He'll do it for you," Jimin said back and was about to hang up.

"Jimin you don't understand. I need your signatures. Why are you like this? You always make me feel ashamed. You can't be a Park. You chose your silly dancing over our company and you still think..."

But this time, Jimin ended the call and turned off his phone right away before tossing it aside. He collapsed onto the cold marble floor, rubbing his chest because it hurt—just like it always did whenever he spoke to his dad like that. He never hated him, even after everything his father did years ago, the day Jimin lost everyone and everything.

Jimin was the son of a wealthy businessman. He had a family, a father who remarried after losing his wife, and who already had a son with her. But Jimin's dad accepted her son too because he fell for her, so he stopped caring for Jimin, his real son. Both his stepmother and stepbrother despised Jimin a lot . After losing his mother at the age of 7, Jimin's once happy and colorful life turned into a sad and dark one. He was a joyful child, but after his mother passed away, everything changed. Yet, he never showed his father, who had already forgotten him and was lost in his new life with his wife and son.

Time flew by, and Jimin grew up in this environment, dreaming to be a dancer, while his father wanted him to take over the family business.
But, Jimin rejected the idea of becoming the CEO of Park Group for the sake of his dream. In a fit of anger, he yelled at his dad, and when he nearly slapped his stepmother, who was fueling the fire during their argument, his father cut all ties with him.

But Jimin never gave up; he picked himself up and worked hard for his own future, and now he was here, all on his own.

"Why did he have to cal-l me now when I was hap-py ...." Jimin mumbled to himself, shaking his head," Jimin, don't cry, pleas-e. You're stronger than this. Yeah," But he felt overwhelmed, couldn't control his emotions, he missed his mother.

" I really miss you, Mo-m. I fee-l so alone. Pleas-e, Mom, take me wit-h yo-u." He sobbed while wrapping his arms around himself, overwhelmed by loneliness. He'd been happy moments before, but his father's poorly timed phone call had completely crushed his spirits.

He felt like he wanted to die. He always put on this front of being tough and cheerful, acting like he didn't need anyone, but deep down he was just a scared little kid who constantly missed his family - his real dad and his mom who'd passed away.

The sound of the door opening made him glance up, and suddenly there was hope shining through in the shape of Ji-ho, who rushed straight over and wrapped him in a tight embrace.

Jungkook was also there , his eyes full of concern as he watched Jimin.
