A/N: Let's make things interesting now, shall we?
"Why was Bakugo in there?"
The only question runs through Kirishima's head for the day. Disarray takes over most of his primal thoughts, trying to stay on track with the studio time he has left. At the beginning of the week, he began putting the finishing touches on his upcoming album, and ultimately, he can talk about whatever he wants considering it. He hated being silenced about it until it was almost complete to promote it.
He goes over to Louise's penthouse in the up-skirts of Los Angeles. Technically, it is Louise's AND his place, but the young woman has the most money compared to the redhead. She got the place a few months ago, shortly after Sirens disbanded. Thanks to her being a political nepotism baby, side projects she had while in and after the band, and sponsorships, her finances are perfect enough to live in someplace relatively expensive.
He makes his way up to the penthouse with some bags of food in tow. He puts his key into the lock, unlocks the door, and opens it to a dark place. He hums, wondering why it's so dark here and if Louise is asleep. It wouldn't be the first time she fell asleep before he made it back after time in the studio.
The further he steps into the contemporary-styled place, the stronger the cleaner's scent fumigates the entire area, allowing the redhead to know how freshly scrubbed their penthouse is. Out of his eye, he detects Louise's silhouette from the kitchen. He sets his bags down on the countertop and walks to see the platinum blonde-haired woman out on the balcony by herself, wearing a loose-fitted yellow shirt, a pair of grey shorts, and light pink slippers on her feet.
Their balcony gives a nice view of the LA skyline; during certain moments, it's the most breathtaking thing ever. However, the balcony is the same place the redhead sees the platinum blonde-haired woman hang out when she's bored or deep in thought.
Quietly, Kirishima opened the screen door to join Louise, but not peacefully enough because she heard him clearly and jerked from the sound. "Sorry about that," Kirishima awkwardly chuckles as he closes the door. "Were you waiting for me again?"
"Yeah," the platinum blonde-haired woman answers, rubbing her eyes. "I wanted to make sure you made it home safe."
The redhead would chuckle and put his hands into the pockets of his black joggers to realize he was lucky to have her, but rather, he witnessed her little action. Gradually, he walks over to stand behind the platinum blonde-haired woman, wrapping his arms around her midriff, securing her. She melts into his touch by resting her head against his chest, covered by the fabric of his white t-shirt, and her figure quivers slightly. She silently sobs to herself, releasing the leftover emotions she previously turned off when Kirishima returned, hating herself for still being broken over a man who never genuinely wanted her.
"Him again," Kirishima queries, turning the petite woman in his arms around, "right?"
"Yeah," Louise sighs, "again."
Kirishima knows about Louise's ex, the same one who screwed her over years ago, and, understandably, it affects her to this day, but sometimes the redhead wishes the two of them never met.
The details he overheard from the woman he has in his embrace and the other women Louise formerly worked alongside recanted their experiences with him. The redhead thought the guy was scummy from seeing a picture of him. Usually, he never thinks of hostility towards people he has never met, but that guy was different.
"I don't know why I'm still sobbing over him," Louise ponders. "It's not like I miss him."
"Maybe," Kirishima inputs, "you miss what could have been if... you know."
