I kissed her... I don't know why! But the second she said she loved me, I just leaned in and kissed her! She didn't pull away. But I did. I was shocked. I kissed her! Why'd I do it?! Why'd I actually enjoy it?! Oh my gods what if Percy finds out?! She didn't say anything. I could feel my face turning red with embarrassment.
"Oh gods, I-I... Uhm... I'm so sorry... I don't know why I did that..."
She didn't look mad. She had one of those stupid flirty smiles on her face. "Soooo... Does that mean you love me, too?"
"I... I guess it does..." My face still felt so red I could probably be camouflaged against Ares Cabin. "What does that mean..?"
"Well, I'm not sure, yet... But... I know I'd love to find out with you." She threaded her fingers in mine, then pulled me close and kissed me. I didn't pull away, I was sure I was still red, though. I could feel butterflies in my stomach, but I didn't care.
She pulled away, letting me go. "You should probably get back to your siblings." She sounded happy. More than she usually might sound happy about something, which made me have a sort of giddy feeling. The butterflies felt like they were moving at an almost impossible speed.
I nodded absently, then got up and walked off. Hoping the blush in my face would go away before I got back, or at least die down enough that no ne would notice.
