For the next few weeks after the kiss, no one saw anything other than two best friends. They didn't seem to notice that we were walking right up against each other. They didn't notice the way we were talking to each other or how we would just stop and stare into each other's eyes sometimes. They didn't notice the jokes we made or that we would sometimes stumble out of the woods or other areas together. They just saw two best friends that had made up after a fight over something stupid.

That was fine with me. Annabeth didn't feel ready to tell anyone. I could understand that. She didn't know how people would respond, she didn't know if or when Percy would find out if she said something, and I'm not sure if she even knows for sure how she feels about me. I'm pretty sure all of those unknowns scare her, she'd never admit it, but lots of unknowns always do seem to make her nervous.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by a fist hitting me in the face. I was on the ground with Mitchell looking down at me with a mortified look on his face. Drew was laughing her ass off on the other side of the arena.

"Oh my gods, Piper I didn't mean to knock you down that hard, are you okay?" He grabbed my hand, helping pull me off my feet.

"I'm alright, Mitchell, I know you didn't mean to... Oh shit..." I wiped some blood off of my nose.

"Oh fu-"

"Mitchell! It's okay, I've had a nosebleed before." I laughed.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, Mitchell, I'm sure." I saw a certain blonde pass by the arena, "You know what? I'll go check it out to make you feel better, okay?"

"Alright, I'm sorry."

"It's okay, Mitchell," I said calmly, wiping some more blood off my face and running off toward where Annabeth had been walking. I caught up to her at the weapons shed. "Hey, Annabeth."

She whipped around in surprise, then saw me and smiled. "Wha- Oh, hey Piper- Oh, my gods, Pipes what happened to your face?"

"Wow, Annie, rude much?" I said with a laugh.

She rolled her eyes but was smiling. "You know what I mean."

"Mitchell did it," Her eyes widened, "On accident, we were training, it already stopped bleeding, I just need to wipe it off," I added quickly.

She seemed satisfied with that answer, then stepped up a little closer and wiped the blood off of my face for me.

"Thanks," I smiled, and then my face fell, I heard some people walking closer, I wasn't sure who, but it was a group talking to each other, and Annabeth and I were standing extremely close to each other.

We looked at each other, then to where they were. Annabeth grabbed my arm and pulled me into the weapons shed, then pushed me against the wall, putting her finger to her lips. We hid as the group walked by, then laughed a bit and kissed.
