Part Eight

The Reunion

Francine Stuart

The last thing that I wanted to do was to return to this stupid town and even spend a day with my ex. Unfortunately, I needed his help in finding Alfina.

I found myself walking inside the hospital corridors.

"Does Theodoro Austad work here?" I asked the receptionist.

"Yes, he is currently making rounds in the hospital, we're a bit packed so you need to wait a little unless you have a scheduled appointment with him," the receptionist informed me.

This woman was starting to get on my nerves.

"You don't understand, I need to see him immediately, I'm his-"

"Girlfriend, she's my girlfriend." an annoying voice cut me off.

Theodoro Austad placed his arm around me and smiled at the receptionist.

"We're just going out for lunch," he said.

The female receptionist only nodded and looked at me with a murderous intent.

"She's going to kill me. Why on earth did you say that I was your girlfriend?" I scolded this idiot.

"Well I'm sorry, knowing how socially awkward you are and at the same time how crazy you are, you would probably kill my receptionist without batting an eyelash," Theodoro replied.

"Shut up already, tell me where the hell you're taking me!" I demanded as Theodoro grabbed my wrist and pulled me inside the elevator.

There were only the two of us inside the elevator.

"Olivia Herrera is in one of our hospital rooms. I will take you to her and we can talk there on why you sounded so desperate for my help an hour ago," Theodoro said with a low tone.

My eyes widened in surprise, if Olivia was able to survive then there was a good chance that Alfina was probably alive.

The elevator doors swung open and Theodoro quickly led me to the room where Olivia was staying.

"Olivia was brought here three days ago. She's awake but she's currently under some medications since she would always throw a fit or try to escape," Theodoro opened the door.

"Lady Francine!" Olivia greeted. I quickly ran towards her and gave her a tight hug.

"Ouch, my rib!" Olivia exclaimed.

"Whoops, sorry." I sheepishly said.
