The News

Alfina Guerrero

"Breaking News! Local policemen found a car similar to the car that was used by the Marchioness near the lake. The police are suspecting that the driver intentionally murdered the Marchioness by leading them to the secluded tunnel. Although the driver was found dead, police suspect that it was actually a murder-suicide, the public believes that Olivia Herrera is the mastermind of it all. According to the police report and several eyewitnesses, the driver and the assistant were seen towing the car away from the scene of the crime. A body was found earlier. Experts and the police officers believe that it was the body of the Marchioness. An autopsy report would be released later. Stay tuned, everyone. This is Michelle Kraft, reporting live. We'll be back after a short break."

"This is bullshit. That car was clearly planted there. No way that the body they found was Alfina!" Danielle exclaimed.

"I'm literally standing beside you." I jokingly said to Danielle.

"Is Olivia..." I hesitated to ask.

"She's alive. She didn't lose her memory like you did but she sustained more injuries than you did. The driver was also found dead before he was brought to the hospital," Theo informed.

"Dette er galskap! Your relatives bribed the police officers and then paid some fake eye-witnesses. They're corrupt as fuck!" Matt exclaimed.

"You owe me ten bucks if Zahria gets interviewed on television." Alfina said to Francine. "Twenty if she cries and Claude is with her." Francine waged. "Thirty if they announce their engagement or something similar," Danielle added.

"You women are crazy, betting on something that is a serious matter." Matt shook his head in disbelief.

"It's a way on how we break the ice. It's our circle thingy only," Francine explained.

"Shh! The news is back on!" Theo said as he shushed everyone.

"We are back now on air with a special call with Zahria Guerrero, the cousin of the Marchioness and Claude Hege who was the Marchioness' ex-fiancé. Miss Zahria, do you have any words to say to the public?" Michelle Kraft asked.

Zahria was sobbing and Claude was doing his best to soothe her.

"I hope that my cousin would get the justice she deserves. I know that you're still out there, Olivia. Please turn yourself in. We will do anything to make sure that Alfina is at peace. People may say that me and Claude's love is inappropriate but we only became close during the past few weeks when we were searching for Alfina's whereabouts," Zahria informed.

"It may be inappropriate but we would like to announce that Claude and I are happily engaged and expecting our first child! I am currently two weeks pregnant. I hope everyone would support us throughout the way," Zahria beamed.

"That's so sweet! Congratulations to the both of you. Like Miss Zahria said, please surrender yourself to the authorities Miss Olivia Herrera. The whole world knows what you did to the poor Marchioness. We'll be back later for some updates later folks. This is Michelle Kraft, reporting live." The program ends and then a commercial was flashed on the television.

The nerve of that woman!

She's incorrigible! She steals my fiancé first, ruins my life, and now she's fucking acting like a saint on live television!

My fists clenched at the thought of Zahria being pregnant with Claude's firstborn child. It was our dream to have a small family but now, all I wanted was revenge.

"You both owe me thirty," Danielle reminded, snapping me out from my rage.

"I need to see Olivia." I told Theo.

"You can see her but the public can't know that you're alive." Theo reminded.

"I'll assume a new identity. I'll just be a woman that resembles the Marchioness instead," I suggested.

"Too risky, I have informed the Queen that you are alive and well. I sent her your message. She is the only one in Spain who knows that you are alive," Francine informed.

"I need to prepare then. What should I do?" I asked.

"She is still shocked with the news but she is still composing herself. She was very distraught at first when news reached her that your car crashed," Francine added.

"I feel guilty for the stress that I caused her," I admitted.

Queen Isabella Alfonso is a woman is a woman related to my late father. I call her Tia (Auntie). She was my father's cousin. My mother frowned upon my father's decision into making her my godmother. She practically raised me on her own when my father died since my mother was too busy indulging herself with my father's riches. I was about ten years old at that time when my mother thought it was a good idea of placing a bullet through my skull to get my inheritance. She escaped and went into hiding.

I have been under her care for a long time until the Presidente del Gobierno (President of Spain/Prime Minister) thought that it was all a ploy to overthrow the government. Thus, the government seized my family's assets and labeled me as a fugitive. The Queen however was powerless regarding this matter, but she did make arrangements for me to go to Norway for me to earn my college degree. She paid for my education and has helped me get by. I was a clueless eighteen-year-old who knew nothing about the world.

After I graduated, I then met my ex-fiancé. We started dating for about two years before he popped the question. The Queen then sent me a message that they have arrested my mother. My mother kept telling everyone that I was the mastermind in everything but she failed to remember that I was ten years old at that time. I went home to Spain immediately. I once visited her but I only stayed at our old house in Spain for a year. Claude proposed to me in my old room back in Spain. During our stay at my home country, my cousin Zahria and Claude became acquaintances.

The government however still didn't drop my charges and were unmoved with my mother's arrest. We had to go back to Norway again to seek refuge, I even left the painting I was working on as a gift for Claude in Spain. But this time Claude and I started planning the wedding in Norway. After ten months of planning, we decided to tie the knot until he pulled a stunt on me on our wedding day by leaving with my treacherous cousin. It has been five months since the accident and I am feeling healthy as a horse but my anger has not diminished.

Maybe I should pay a visit Madre sometime.

I need to know the truth.

Every single one of it.
