Gone Fishing

sorry for like disappearing btw i went through a major writer's block and as of while i am writing i have no good clue what i'm going to write about i just pray i figure it out😭

"GUYS!"

Navashark burst into the room, looking very inspired.

"What is it?" Jack looked unamused, as he turned his swivel chair around to face Nava, slapping Koonboat's hand away from the chess pieces with a hissed "It's not your turn."

"WHO WANTS TO GO FISHING WITH ME?" Navashark was very enthusiastic about this, directly contradicting to Jack's bored tone. Koonboat shook his head.

"I don't like the ocean. It's really deep and all, you could drown."

"Nah, no kidding!" Jack made an exasperated face and chuckled. "I never knew that."

Koonboat tutted, "I'm just saying."

Navashark continued speaking in the same enthusiastic tone. "Just think about it! Us three, on a boat, fishing! I could show you some old fishing tricks, heh." He was desperately trying to get the others to be interested.

"How in Moon Lord did you find a boat." Jack looked at him pointedly. Navashark looked guilty, but smiled again at Jack.

"I have my ways."

"Navashark, where'd you get a boat-"

"Why don't you ask Meena?" Koonboat interrupted, looking slightly confused.

"Or Mermutany, I dunno."

Navashark laughed nervously at that. "They're giving each other the silent treatment right now, had an awful row earlier, if I choose Meena, Merm'll get jealous, if I choose Merm, Meena'll get jealous, if I bring both of them, I'll have to withstand their passive aggressiveness and maybe witness a fight... which if I think about it, I'd like to watch...heh.."

Navashark stopped talking for a couple seconds, clearly thinking.

"But no, Mermutany vs Meena will have to wait. I wanna go with my best buds!"

Jack looked incredibly sceptical, but sighed and nodded. "Sure, I don't have anything better to do, apart from play chess with that." 

He tilted his head to Koonboat when he said 'that', which earned a huff from Koonboat.

"I'll go too. I'd rather go on a boat then sit here with the two scariest people I know." He responded, looking up at Navashark.

"Y'sure we shouldn't leave Koon here, if the ladies go into a screaming match and burn the house down, or something?" Jack asked, half joking. Koonboat shoved Jack playfully at that.

"Okay! So it's settled. Pack up, I'll be waiting outside, with the boat." Navashark said in a sing-song tune. Jack spoke up again.

"You've got to tell me at least how you got that boat."

To set the scene, they were all together on a fishing boat, all three of them, trying to have fun. Koonboat had fallen off twice in an hour and was already getting seasick. Jack was struggling to use a fishing rod, and hadn't caught any fish, despite his boasting an hour prior. He'd hit himself more than hitting the ocean surface. Nava was having a blast watching this all go down, occasionally helping Jack when he felt it was necessary.

"How do you use this? It's not doing what it's- argh... supposed to!"

Jack was getting more irritated by the minute, and heard Navashark giggle like a little girl next to him as he tried to aid in detangling the fishing line from the side of the boat. Once it was free Jack tried hitting him with it, and ended up hitting the side of the boat, getting it stuck again. Navashark burst into laughter, but seeing Jack's worked up face, stopped and untangled the rod again. He held the fishing rod, keeping Jack's hands on it, and reeled. He had a smug grin on his face as it hit the water and mere seconds later the line began to pull. Jack reeled in a fish, looking surprised for a split seconds as it fell in the boat, jumping around on the floor.

"YES! WE DID IT! KOON I CAUGHT A FISH!"

Koonboat peeked his head, and gave Jack a round of applause. "Isn't that the point of fishing?"

Jack chuckled, "Shut up, you're just jealous."

"Am not! I can catch a fish better than you!" Koonboat retorted.

"I'd like to see you try!" Jack sneered as Koonboat took the fishing rod away from him and easily got around 3 fishes. Jack was internally screaming but smiled thinly as Koonboat looked thrilled at his three new fish. Navashark wiped an imaginary tear from his eye and said sarcastically, "They grow up so fast!"

Jack rolled his eyes, "Beginner's luck."

Navashark chuckled. "You're a natural, Koon, don't let Jack discourage you."

He looked around at the emptiness around the water, as a fog began to grow. "We should be getting home right now, I didn't expect for it to get foggy this quick.." He laughed nervously looking around.

"You're... you're right." Koon looked around as well.

"I have an idea!!" Jack went back inside the small boat steering area (??) and held the steering wheel. He then began moving the boat fast, I mean really fast. So fast that Koonboat almost fell out the boat again, and Navashark had to hold the rails.

"There aren't any speeding limits on a boat, right?" Jack called out, having a great time. Navashark struggled to get inside, the wind whipping his face.  

"JACCCCK! THIS IS A FISHING- FISHING BOAT! YOU CAN'T SPEED ON ONE!!"

Navashark's warnings were to no avail as Jack went faster when eventually-

BANG!

The boat crashed on the coast of a very familiar land. Navashark stared in horror at his boat, smashed into two. Jack dusted his hands and went on dry land. 

"I got us here successfully! Mission success! In less than 5 minutes as well." He checked his nails, seemingly waiting for the applause.

Navashark rolled his eyes.

"Are you going to pay for this?"

He pointed to his boat, smashed in two.

"No."

"Of course." He groaned.

"By the way, where'd Koon go?"

they are the silliest ever 

also the only reason im back is because its almost been a year since i've started this book so might as well do a couple more chapters before i disappear for an eternity + i wanted to do a christmas special after i tried (MULTIPLE TIMES) to make an halloween special and failed so might as well do one holiday justice (and no, i probably won't separate it into 3 chapters like what happened at easter-)
