Remus woke up slowly as everything came into focus, he noticed he was in the hospital wing, as predicted. There had only been a handful of times over the years where he didn't wake up in the infirmary. He carefully sat up and looked around, his whole body ached. Sirius was sitting next to him, looking at him curiously.

"Hey Moony, it's good to see you up" Sirius smiled at him.

"Hi Pads" Remus's voice came out raspier than he expected.

"Let me go see if Pomfrey will let you leave" Sirius gave Remus a grin then left to go find the woman.

Sirius was smiling as he returned, Remus guessed that meant good news.

"She said I can help you up to the dorm, and she wants us to make sure you rest" Sirius sat down on the bed next to him.

"Alright" Remus responded before attempting to stand.

He winced at the action, there was a sharp pain in his side and his muscles felt like mush. Once standing, he swayed a bit. Sirius noticed this, giving Remus a look.

"I'm fine Pads"

"Sorry Moons but I don't believe you" Sirius said looking him up and down before wrapping an arm around his waist.

Sirius looked away, face turning red as he felt Remus's hard abs underneath his sweater. Remus didn't seem to notice luckily. Sirius helped him stumble up the stairs and, through the port key, the common room, the dorm, and finally onto his bed. Remus had only laid down for a minute before he remembered something.

"Shit!" Remus shot up wincing again as he did.

"What is it?!" Sirius looked concerned.

"Fuck, what time is it?" Remus said hurriedly.

"It's 4:42, you sleep half the day Moons" Sirius said plainly

"Shit, I gotta go" Remus said pulling himself up out of bed.

"Go where? You can barely stand!" Sirius exclaimed.

"I told Jack I'd talk to him tonight at 5" Remus said as he fumbled around for his robes.

"To talk about what?" Sirius was displeased at the idea of Remus being with Jack again but he was trying to be less of an arse about it.

"I still haven't given him my answer" Remus muttered, looking away.

"Oh" Sirius couldn't hide his disappointment.

"I don't think I'm going to date him..."

"Oh" Sirius said again, still not looking at him

"I need to go" Remus slowly headed towards the door, limping slightly.

Sirius groaned.

"Can I at least help you down the stairs? You scraped up your leg pretty bad" he said, tucking a strand of hair behind his ear.

"Sure" Remus reluctantly replied.

He hated being babied but he wouldn't mind the help as his leg did hurt pretty bad and.. it was Sirius.

Sirius helped Remus back down the stairs and almost to the court yard before promptly leaving him. He didn't want to see Remus with Jack, even if it was to end things with him. Remus sighed and trudged forward. Jack was leaning against the wall to his right, waiting. Remus steadied himself before slowly approaching Jack, he didn't want to deal with anymore questions about things then were needed.

"Hey" Remus said giving Jack a lazy smile

"Hey!" Jacks face lit up when he saw Remus.

"I didn't think you'd show" he said shuffling his feet.
