Alone with a Secret Curse (Based of My babysitters a vampire)

On The Job

Working at Lotta Latte can be so stressful sometimes. The collage kids can be annoying, the old people are rude and my coworkers are stupid. I don't really have a dream job if I'm being honest, but if I did it definitely wouldn't be this.
"Sarah, tonight we are all going on to the Cocktail Lounge if you are interested?" David asks me.
"No sorry I've got a babysitting job later" I respond
"What? You've got two jobs now?"
"Yeah I need the money"
"Oh come on! It's only a little cocktail I'm sure it will be fine to just grab one and then go on your little babysitting job"
"Even if I wasn't babysitting you know I wouldn't come anyway. I appreciate you asking me, but when have I ever been to one of your social gatherings?"
"I just thought now you've been here for awhile you might like to"
"No thanks David"
David walks away to the back and I just start filling up our machines with the coffee beans and cleaning it up.
"Excuse me" a young woman says to me.
I turn around and see this girl who looks about the same age as me with blonde hair and glasses.
"Hi, how can I help you?" I ask
"Please can I have a chocolate latte?" She asks very quietly. Bless her, she must be very shy.
"Yep. Is it to stay or to go?"
"To stay please"
"Okay I will get that sorted for you if you want to grab a seat I will bring it over"
"Thank you"
The girl goes to sit by the window and pulls out her phone and starts watching something. I walk over with her chocolate latte and see she is watching the vampire film Dusk, which I use to love.
"Oh wow you are watching Dusk" I say to her as I put her drink on the table.
"Yeah. It's my favourite film" She says as she pauses the video
"I haven't watched it in awhile. Isn't a new one coming out?"
"Yeah it's coming out in a few weeks and I'm really excited"
"I will have to watch it"
I walk away and I see she plays the movie again. Bless her, she seems really engrossed in it.

Right shift is over, now I've got to get ready for my new job. I stink like coffee and even though most people like the smell, I actually hate the smell on coffee. I quickly hop in my shower and then put on some blue jeans, purple short sleeved top and a bit of makeup so I look somewhat normal on my first evening on the job. I've got the address and luckily it's not too much of a walk, I've just got to walk through the park and I'm pretty much there.

I knock on the door and Mrs Morgan answers all dressed up like a cowgirl "Hi Sarah!" She says
"Hey Mrs Morgan" I respond looking her up and down confused on why she's dressed like that.
"If you are wondering about the dress it's because me and my husband are going to a western rodeo dance party"
"Aha right."
"Jane is in the living room and Ethan is upstairs. You've got my number if you need me and Jane has to be in bed by at least 9 o'clock."
"Ok will do. Have fun at the rodeo party thing"
"Thank you"
Mrs Morgan and Mr Morgan leave the house and now it's just Jane and I.

"Do you want to play Dance Revolution?" Jane says to me all excited.
"Ummm... sure. Why don't you go first and show me how it's done?" I say.
"Okay then! We should get Ethan down here to play as well"
"You can ask him if you want to"
"He will reject me! Can you please ask him as he might say yes to you!"
"Ummm... yeah okay"
"His room is upstairs and straight down the hallway"
"Okay I will ask him."

I walk up the stairs and see the room with a light on and I can hear a video game being played. I knock on the door and he doesn't respond, so I knock again a bit louder.
"Come in" he says
I slowly open the door and see what a geek room he really has. There is a shelf filled with toys, he has a big computer with all his games next to it, on the side of his bed he has a microscope and a picture of him and Benny.
"Hi" I awkwardly say to him
"Hey" he responds quickly taking his headphones off and turning off his game.
"Jane wanted to know if you would play Dance Revolution or something like that?"
"I can't dance"
"Me neither, but she wants us to"
"I really don't want to though. I'm just going to play Red Dead with Benny online. Tell her I will play later"
"Wow what a great brother you are" I sarcastically say as I start to leave his room.
"HEY! That's rude" Ethan says as he stands up from his computer
"What?"
"I am a good brother, just ask Jane. Do you have siblings?"
"No I don't. Don't even have parents anymore..." OH SHIT! Why did u say that? Now he is going to ask me more questions. Shit!
"Oh... I'm so sorry"
I sit on Ethan's bed and it sits next to me.
"It's fine. I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that"
"No you have nothing to be sorry about. Do you have anyone in your family around?"
"Nope, just me"
"Nobody lives in the apartment with you?"
"Nah, just me all alone"
"No friends?"
"I don't really do the whole friend thing. I tend to just stay away from people"
"Well you are in the wrong jobs then if you want to stay away from people"
"Ha. Yeah I just don't really get along with people as I'm not the same as them..."
"By not the same do you mean because you are scarily stronger than everyone?"
"Haha. I told you, that was an adrenaline thing"
"Yeah I'm still not buying that story"
"Well I don't know what else to say as it is the only answer I have"
"Well it still does scare me how strong you are and my nose especially is scared"
"Oh my god! I totally forgot about your nose! Is it okay?"
"Yeah it wasn't broke just hurt a LOT"
"I'm still really sorry about that"
"It's alright I shouldn't have snook up behind you. I did it because I thought if I just came over you might of told me to leave you alone or something?"
"Why would I of said that? I might not like people Ethan, but I am a nice person"
"I don't know I just thought you wouldn't want to talk to me as you are so... I mean you are so pretty... I mean"
"SARAH!" I hear Jane shout from downstairs.
Well that was awkward and embarrassing so thank god Jane called me as I didn't know what to say after that.
"COMING JANE!" I shout back. "Are you coming to dance?" I ask Ethan
"Umm... no thanks" he says whislt shrugging his shoulders.
I leave his room and head downstairs to dance with Jane.
