I Am A Monster

Benny, Ethan and I sit down on my sofa and all looking at my broken table I needed for stakes.
"Where did Jesse go Benny?" I ask
"I just sent him to where he came from" Benny responded
"Do you think he will come back?" Ethan asks
"I don't know? I'm going to have to start looking for a new place I guess" I say
"No! I mean... why do you have to go?" Ethan says
"I can't have him finding me again and hurting you guys either" I respond
"We are fine. I just killed a vampire all by myself!" Benny says smiling so much
"You can stay here in Whitechapel and be fine. We can all look after each other" Ethan says
"As much as it seems sweet, I'm not having anyone getting hurt" I respond.
"How did you turn into a vampire?" Benny asks me
"It was Jesse's fault. We met in school and I saw how cool he was and how I liked the bad boy thing and then after 2 years of dating he put me in a trance and bite me on the neck and that was it..." I say as I start to feel my eyes welling up.

Ethan grabs my hand and Benny gets closer.
"What happened after all that? Why did you run away?" Benny asks me
"Well at first I was still under the trance, so I thought it was cool and then what broke me out of it was he wanted me to become a full vampire and put a boy in front of me and told me to kill him. It 100% broke me out of the trance and realised what the hell is happening! I got into a fight with him and then he threatened to kill me and my family, so I quickly left with what I could"
"That's awful... Is this why you don't let people by you and you just stay on your own?" Ethan says, still holding my hand.
"Yes... I don't want to make any friends or boyfriends or whatever as if I get attached to someone and Jesse finds out, then they are in trouble as he will hurt them to get me to become a vampire and go off with him" I say whilst I'm crying slowly.
"Look he is gone now and now we killed his friends he might realise he can't mess with us" Ethan says
"Yeah exactly! Don't leave! Ethan stills needs a babysitter. Ha!" Benny says
I will be leaving, but to get them to shut up, I will just say yes for now.
"Yeah I guess you guys might be right" I say to them and it looks like they've believe my lie as both of their faces light up. I know it's wrong to lie and whatever, but so much has changed this year and I just can't be the same Sarah I was...
I use to have such different feelings and opinions. I use to have friends, I use to laugh, I use to never lie, I use to get involved in loads of school activities and I use to plan for college... Now I have nothing and I've changed so much. I just want to be normal again, I feel like I've had to expect the fact the old Sarah is dead and I need to mourn her because she isn't coming back anytime soon...

"I still can't believe I got a vision about your teeth and you some how convinced me it wasn't real" Ethan says letting go of my hand. God he held my hand for awhile and I never pushed him off me?
"These visions do they happen a lot?" I ask
"Yes, I am a seer"
"What does that mean?"
"I get visions of certain things. Like I can sort of see the future or I can see things that have happened and find out things, a lot of the time though they aren't very clear"
"So Benny is a spell master and you are a seer"
"Yep and you are a vampire. That makes us a powerful team if you ask me" Benny says
"A team?" I respond
"Yeah! We can fight crime and stuff all powerful"
"No thanks. You guys can fight crime all you want, but I'm staying away from it all. I just want a normal life"

*RING* *RING* *RING*
"Oh my phones going" Benny says pulling his phone out his pocket
"Who is it?" Ethan asks
"It'a grandma" Benny says answering his phone.
"Hey grandma what's up? NOOO! I did the washing yesterday! Fine I will come home and do it, but it means I'm getting pizza tonight" Benny says down the phone.
"Guys I've got to go. Grandma needs my help" Benny says
"Okay, thanks for the help today Benny and sorry I got you in this mess. Oh also don't tell anyone about my... my situation" I say to him.
Benny leaves my apartment and now it's just Ethan and I.
"I guess I should get going as well and leave you alone" Ethan says as he stands up.
I sort of don't want him to go though... I don't know what's wrong with me, but I want Ethan to stay.
"You can stay if you want? We never finished the film" I quickly say to him.
"Uhhhh... I mean... if you want me to stay I will happily stay" Ethan says awkwardly and his face has turned a bit red.
"Yeah why not? We can finish the film"
"Sure, sounds good to me"

The films over, thank god, it was very gross in parts.
"God that was a lot" Ethan says as he takes a deep breath
"Just slightly" I respond
"I guess we will have to think of another film for when you come round on Friday. I mean if you are still coming on Friday"
"Yeah I need the money"
I definitely need extra money if I'm planing on leaving again. I need the money fast as I don't know when Jesse will come back...
"Any films you like?" Ethan asks me
"Funny, horror, scary. Anything really, just not cringy love ones" I say
"I'm the exact same. Not too keen on the love stories"
"After my past relationship I don't believe in love anymore... HA!"
"You're still doing better than me, I've not had a girlfriend. I had a brief one in school, but it lasted about two week because she cheated on me with some jock guy"
"That's horrible! Why did she cheat on you?"
"She said it's because I'm too nerdy and this jock guy is stronger and hotter, even though he had no brain cells"
"Some people just go for looks and it doesn't matter if they are idiots. My issue is that I tend to go for bad boys and I don't know why? I see a guy who I think looks good and has a bad boy vibe and then it turns out they are jerks."
"Well you are really pretty, so you can have anyone you want... I mean... sorry... I shouldn't of said that"
"Don't worry about it. I don't think I will be looking for anyone for a long time. How can I have a relationship? I'm never going to get older, so unless I have a vampire boyfriend then I can't have anyone I want"
"But sometimes you can't help but falling for someone. What will happen then?"
"I just can't let it happen..."
"But what if it does happen?"
"It won't! This is why I don't make friends or speak to many people"
"You can't help making friends though. Look what you did for me and Benny earlier. You phoned me to keep me safe, then when we both turned up at your door you saved us. If you didn't care about people and wanted to stay away from them, how come you didn't just let Jesse and his friends eat us?"
"I still have morals and don't want anyone to get hurt, if they don't deserve it"
"Yes, but from what you were saying and how you were talking suggests you do care about people more than you want to think."

Ethan and I are getting closer to each other on my sofa whilst we are talking and it seemed natural at first, but now I don't know where this is going.
"After I got bite I promised myself I wouldn't have another relationship or friendship until I got cured as it wouldn't work because I am technically a monster and I could kill anyone or anything"
"But you aren't made like that. You may think you've changed since then, but I bet the old Sarah is still in there trying her hardest to get out. I understand why you are trying to push people away, but you don't have to. You aren't a monster at all! You are Sarah"

We both start leaning into each other and then our lips finally touch and nobody can stop it now. My head wants it to stop, but my heart and body are saying keep on going. This is wrong, it's so wrong on so many levels... I can't stop it though. We break away from the kiss and now this is the point where I should tell him to leave or get up off my sofa or literally anything else, but instead I'm just going in for another one...
