Alone with a Secret Curse (Based of My babysitters a vampire)

The Plan

I lay Rory on my sofa and bend down next to him.
"Rory can you hear me?" I say to him. "Rory please wake up"

*KNOCK* *KNOCK * *KNOCK*
That's my door, but what if it's not Ethan and Benny... What if it's Drake? I quickly grab a knife and head to the door, I know a knife won't kill a vampire, but if it can hold him off it works for me.
I slowly answer the door and am happy to see Ethan and Benny outside.
"Oh thank god it's you guys!" I say as I put the knife down.
"Sarah are you okay? Why did you have a knife?" Ethan asks
"I will explain in a second, but first you are going to need to see this. I tried to save him, but I couldn't. I was hoping with Benny's magic something could be done" I say to them
"What is it?" Benny asks
I usher them into my apartment and to my sofa to see Rory laying there passed out with his fang scars.
"RORY!" Ethan shouts as he goes to the sofa
"What happened?" Benny asks me
"It's a really long story, but some vampire came to try and find me and ask where Jesse, Gord and Vince are. I made up this lie ,don't worry I didn't mention any one of you guys. He didn't believe me and attacked a girl and then when I fought him and he flew away Rory came over to talk to me and I tried my hardest to get Rory away from me, but he wouldn't stop talking to me and this vampire grabbed Rory and got him"
"Are YOU okay?" Ethan asks me
"I'm fine, but Erica and Rory aren't. It doesn't matter about me anyway" I say
"Erica? Is Erica that Dusk girl I've seen?" Benny says
"Yes. She's been bitten and turned into a vampire and now Rory has been bitten"
"So is Rory turning into a vampire or is he dead?" Benny asks.
"He isn't dead in the sense that he won't get up, but he is dead as his heart won't be beating anymore and he will be a vampire" I say
"Wait... So when Rory wakes up he will be a fledgling?" Ethan asks
"Yes... unfortunately. I tried my hardest and I'm so sorry" I say as I get down to the same level as Ethan and hold his hand
"Will he try and drain our blood when he wakes up?" Benny asks
"Ummm... it depends on how he is feeling? Me I thought it was wrong, but he might twist and think he needs to be a full vampire. It's just a case to wait. I can take him to his home if you guys are worried he will drink you?" I say
"Is there nothing your magic can do Benny?" Ethan asks
"That's what I was thinking as well" I say
"I will look through my book, but I don't think there is" Benny says pulling his book out his pocket.

"I'm so sorry. I've hurt your friend" I say to Ethan, who's hand I'm still holding
"You haven't done anything. It's Jesse's fault and this other vampire" he says back to me
"I brought you into my life though."
"No you didn't! Our issue here is that we aren't listening to you. Benny and I came when you told us not to and Rory wouldn't leave you alone when you asked him to."
"I tried to save him and I tried to save Erica and I failed"
"You did what you could. Did he hurt you at all?"
"A little bit when I was in Lotta Latte, he sort of threw me into glass shelves and a few coffee machines"
"What? Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine, but when I was struggling to get up that's when he got Erica and there was nothing I could do, so I charged towards him and threw him out of the window"
"Holy crap"
"Oh and now I've been fired from Lotta Latte as they think it was all my fault. I tried to make it out like we were being robbed, but they just got rid of me"
"What happened with Rory? Was he not there?"
"No. When I was running home I bumped into Rory and he said he recognised me and I kept on saying bye to him, but he wouldn't leave me alone and then I heard him scream down an alley way so I ran over there, but it was too late"
"Guys there is nothing I'm afraid" Benny says holding his book.
"Oh... I guess we just have to wait to see when he wakes up." Ethan says.

Rory starts to make some groaning sounds and starts moving around on my sofa.
"Rory can you hear me?" Ethan says
"Hey Ethan what's going on?" Rory says as he wakes up
"Are you okay?" I ask him
"Yeah, but I my glasses are really blurry" he says as he takes them off.
"Do you know what's happened?" Benny asks him
"Not really? My neck hurts and so does my head, but other than that I'm fine" he sits up with a big smile on his face.
"Rory... I don't know how to tell you this, but you are sort of a vampire now" I say as I sit next to him
"Cool!" He laughs
"No Rory it's not cool! You are dead" Benny snaps at him
"I feel great! I guess I'm just going to live my life forever now! Royster is now immortal!" Rory gets up and laughs and just leaves me apartment.
"Okay what the heck just happened?" I say out of pure confusion.
"Rory doesn't understand a lot... maybe it will settle in at some point?" Benny says
"WOOOOHHHOOO!" We hear Rory shout outside my apartment, we look out the window to see Rory running at vampire super speed.

"So after all of what's gone on today, I definitely need to leave now." I say as I grab a bag and start packing
"What?" Ethan says as he follows me
"Nobody else is getting hurt because of me!" I snap as I grab things to put in my bag
"It's not your fault though Sarah!"
"YES IT IS! Would your friend of been bitten if they weren't after me, would of Erica been bitten if they weren't after me, would you and Benny nearly be killed because of me?"
"Sarah stop packing your things! We can move around this and sort out this other vampire guy"
"NO! They will keep coming and then Jesse will come back! So I need to move away from you all"
"If you keep running away from the problem then it will never get resolved!"
"Yeah! We should get Jesse! I killed a vampire already!" Benny says.
"You know... we could do" Ethan says

I've stopped packing and I am considering it because if I get rid of Jesse then he won't hurt anyone and he won't bring all his little bat friends to come for me, but looking and Ethan and Benny I just can't put them in anymore danger... I will kill him on my own!
"I will stop packing, but you two need to leave. NOW! I'm killing Jesse, but you guys are NOT coming with me" I say to them.
"No we can help!" Benny says
"Nobody else is getting in more danger because of me. I'm doing it on my own!"
"But I am a seer, Benny is a spell master and if we get Rory involved we have two vampires" Ethan says
"That is a top notch group there" Benny says with a wink
"No! You guys are not getting involved" I say to them
"How about we help behind the scenes... So like we do the research and then you kill him" Ethan suggests
"Urrrgg! Fine! But you are not getting near any vampires apart from Rory, as he is your friend."
"Right Benny where did you send Jesse again?" Ethan asks
"I sent him back to where he came from" Benny responds.
"Annnndddd... Where would that be?" I ask
"I don't know? He's your boyfriend" Benny says
"EX Boyfriend" Ethan blurts out
We both look at each other after he said that.
"Ummm... guys..." Benny says breaking us up from looking at one another.
"Right we need to find out where he has gone" I say
"Where did he come from?" Ethan asks me
"I guess the town I use to live in, which is East Wood" I respond
"Okay, so are we going to East Wood?" Benny asks
"No as Jesse has too many of his vampire friends there and he knows the area really well, I say we lure him here as he doesn't know the area and he might only bring one or two of his vampire friends." I say
"Good idea! How are we getting him here though without it looking suspicious?" Ethan asks
"Maybe you could pretend you want to be back with him?" Benny suggests
"No he wouldn't buy it as he knows I don't want to be back with him... Maybe I could say that I'm going back to him as he has already hurt Erica and Rory and I don't want him to hurt anyone else?" I say
"That could work! Then he can come here to meet you and then we have the element of surprise and waste this vampire!" Benny says all excitedly
"I will send him a text and see when he comes. We need some gear... Like stakes or garlic or something?" I say
"Well we can make stakes easily and as for garlic we could get some garlic oil and put it in water balloons and then we can throw it at them!" Benny suggests
"That's actually good! We could also get water guns, but fill them with holy water to burn them" Ethan says
"Right! So you get the gear and I will set up the meeting." I say

This might actually work, I just hope that Jesse doesn't bring a load of his friends... If he brings just one or two then it might be okay, but more and we are done for.
