Chapter 11: Space Race

Hey so this is my next chapter. I am gonna skip episodes that I don't think are necessary to this story. So no House Guest and Steven will keep his healing powers for the entire series so no losing his confidence. So now on to the story.

David was walking across Beach City thinking about what happened a couple nights ago and how he told his parents about it. While he was walking, he saw Steven talking with his dad. He walked to them asking if they were okay after what happened. Steven said "yeah and did you know the gems used to travel all over space." David said "I did not know that." Steven said "I think Pearl misses going there. He gasped as he had an idea "We should build a spaceship together. David said well we could try making one for fun." Steven said "Pearl would love it so much to go to space." Greg said "yeah how bad could it be.

Steven, Greg, and David were at the barn with Greg saying this his family loved to do everything with flying. Steven said "I declare this barn to be Universe, Universe, and Hall of Space Travel HQ. We cut to Steven, David, and Greg who finished the spaceship and showed it to Pearl. Steven said "we made a spaceship." Steven ran towards and went in putting his helmet on and goggles. Pearl said to David "I can help you make a better spaceship." Pearl and David started talking while Steven and Greg got the spaceship ready. After that, they watched him go down the hill and it went high in the air and he jumped off due to the ship breaking off piece by piece. Pearl told Greg that his calculations were a little off. They were in front of the barn with Pearl with the whiteboard explaining what they needed to do. David was surprised that she knew all that. Greg said "whoa whoa, we can't actually build something like this, right."

Steven, Greg, and David were at the barn with Greg saying that his family loved everything to do with flying.  Steven said "I declare this barn to be Universe, Universe and Hall of Space Travel HQ. We cut to a couple minutes with Steven, David, and Greg who finished the spaceship showing it to Pearl. Steven said "we made a space suit." Steven ran towards and went in putting his helmet on and goggles. Pearl said to David "I can help you make a better spaceship." Pearl and David talked while Steven and Greg got the ship ready. After that, they watched him go down the hill until it went high in the air and Steven jumped jumped off before due to the ship breaking off piece by piece. Pearl laughed saying "no although you do have a couple parts for space travel so it could work. She thought about it and said that this could actually work. Steven, David, and Greg were a little hesitant. Pearl said "shouldn't the ones who don't seize the opportunity to seek the truth. They didn't know what to say. Pearl said " I would be able to show Steven the wonders of space." We cut to minutes of Steven, David, and Pearl working on the spacesuit with having lunch in between. They made a prototype of Steven on a spaceship with other people seeing in Beach City.  Greg went to ask Pearl if they were sure that they were almost finished with this. Pearl said "we aren't even close to done." "This was just the prototype." "Do you know if there are shops that carry liquid fueled rockets." David and Greg were surprised with David saying "you can't take him into space since you would need space helmets and it's probably gonna take you days or weeks where you want to go." Greg says "Yeah David's right, you are not taking my son to space." Pearl said "yes I am."  Greg said that he isn't letting that happen. Steven said "why since they is why we formed Universe, Universe, and Hall." Greg said "I don't want you to get hurt or lost in space. "You can't leave space." Steven said "as man stupid company by laws.  Pearl said "who named you CEO." Greg said "they did." He said motioning to Steven and David. Pearl said that she will do this herself.

David went to follow her in the barn before it was closed. David walked to Pearl asking "why do you want to show Steven about space?" "He could just look up videos of it online or do some training to fit his body for space." Pearl said "it's because I want to experience where I am from." "You know that I am not from here right?" David said "yeah Steven said that you and the gems are from outer space." Pearl said "yes but it's not the full picture." "I will show you another time but it's something that I want Steven to see the wonders of space and how it might connect to his mother." Pearl cried a little when she mentioned rose or another Alias that pearl could not say ever. David looked at her and felt bad then went to help wipe her tears away. David said "well I get it but couldn't you take him when he is older." Pearl thought about it then said "yes I could." David said "okay great." He started to walk out before Pearl said "would you be okay with going into space with me?" David said "yeah I would love to though how are you gonna make the ship." Pearl said "well it's easy but I want to show you." Pearl and David were working on the ship all the way until nighttime and while he was asleep, Pearl got Steven anyway showing him what they were gonna do. While Steven was walking to the ship, he woke David up. David groaned then asked "Steven what are you doing." He said "we're going on a spaceship." "Pearl said that you are coming too." David said "okay well we need some helmets and a space suit." Pearl came near the ship getting them and giving them to them both. They both put them on though it was a little different. David said "wait um pearl where did you get them." Pearl said "oh well I just bought them from a store."

David walked to the ship with Steven and they went in putting their seatbelts on. Pearl closed the hatch and they were off with the sound waking Greg up. Greg tried to get them to turn back around. Pearl made the ship go higher in the air but the ship kept breaking piece by piece. While the ship was breaking, David and Steven tried to get Pearl to turn back even though they were finally seeing space. David pulled the emergency parachutes and they ejected and flew down to the sky with Greg being shocked seeing the ship explode. David saw the entirety of Beach City and was amazed while Steven and Pearl were talking about something else. Once they came down, Greg ran to hug Steven glad that he is safe and Steven took his helmet off. David said "That was amazing but was extremely reckless." "You didn't have to do that." Pearl didn't say anything and went to the van with David taking his space suit off. They drove him to his house. He got out and opened the door then went to the shower and went to sleep after getting something to eat.

Post-Credits Scene

A man working in a facility with a group of people were working on projects. They had gem technology trying to make their own. Another scientist said "Sir you have to see this." The man said "don't waste my time." He said before being led to a screen seeing those three in a spaceship. "Well I guess I will have to keep an eye on Beach City." The man named Rook said this.
