Chapter 23: Jailbreak

David started to open his eyes trying to remember what happened. After that, he groaned and tried to get up and he looked around not seeing his sword. He started to call Steven, Pearl, and Garnet's name but nothing came. He was in a large cell with a yellow vibrational field surrounding the front. He started to walk towards it but it dissipates and Jasper came out.

Jasper took David out then said "Where did you get that weapon?"

David didn't know what she was talking about then assumed it was the sword. "Why does it matter?"

Jasper said "It was one of the battles lost in the gem war and you treat it like a toy."

David was shocked saying "No I don't and I have trained every day with that sword since I got it."

Jasper said "Well maybe I will keep it and bring it back to homeworld."

David shouted "No it's mine and why does it matter."

Jasper said "You don't deserve it and it's mine."

They both heard singing and he saw Jasper starting to leave and turned the field back on.

David saw that he still had his phone and smiled but probably couldn't call anyone. He tried to touch the field but it shocked him. He started to try again and he slowly tried going through the field out. It was which was shocking then got out of the room.

After that, he panted then went to run around seeing some gems trapped in the cells too. He decided to free them hoping that it would help and asked one of them who was singing. One of the gems who was another Amethyst but taller told them that it was a Sapphire.

They were shocked that a Sapphire was there in first place.

David knew that the Gems would be shocked that all these gems were held prisoner. He started to run towards the singing and got to Sapphire and freed her.

Sapphire said "This was unexpected but a welcome one. I see that Steven will come try to rescue us with Ruby." "Thank you David."

David said "You're welcome but how do you know my name."

Sapphire says that it isn't important and that they have to find ruby.

David asked who ruby was and Sapphire said that he will know on this ship.

Sapphire was shocked that the gems were kept on the ship not knowing that Jasper would do this.

David, Sapphire and the gems heard ruby's name and they ran towards the sound.

They got there and they saw ruby and sapphire turn into garnet and David and Steven were shocked that Garnet was a fusion.

Steven and Garnet talked for a bit with David talking to the other gems trying to figure how they got captured.

David went to Garnet saying how he was shocked and explaining how the gems were trapped in the prisoner by Jasper.

Steven asked how he could find amethyst and pearl. One of the gems were shocked that another pearl was here. Garnet kissed Stevens head and ran to find Pearl and Amethyst.

David asked what he could do and Garnet told him to find Amethyst and Pearl with Steven's help. David said that he could help her fight Jasper even without a weapon.

Garnet said no and that he had to help Steven. David wanted to protest but didn't and he and the other gems followed to help.

Meanwhile, after they all left Garnet and Jasoer fought and it was an amazing fight.

David caught up with Steven and they found Pearl and Amethyst and they helped get the gems out. After that, they got Peridot then Peridot was shocked "How did you all manage to get out."

Pearl said "The stabilizer works on gems but not on humans."

Peridot growled then ran up to fight Pearl but Amethyst just tied her up. Pearl went to control the ship to take them around.

David said that he will be back and he has to get something that belonged to him.  David still kept running and heard rumbles throughout the ship. While he was running, he saw Lapis in the cell and tried to convince her to get out and he could help but it was no use. He still kept running and saw his sword where Jasper put it and grabbed it. He smiled then went to run to the Gems but ran into Jasper who was wounded but could still fight. Jasper saw then said Guess the runt finally got his weapon back." "Why don't you prove if it's still a toy to you?"

David said "Gladly." David went to fight Jasper swinging his sword to her and used kicks and punches to weaken her.

Jasper panted then knelt down starting to pass out. The ship started to fall near Beach City hitting the beach and everything turned to black.

After that, David slowly woke up to see a huge gem with four eyes having a interest in him and grabbing him before David tried to punch the gem but it was no use. David heard Lapis's voice saying "Stop we don't need him." Jasper's voice said "No let's keep him as a trophy." Jasper started to raise one hand to splash the gems with water. Suddenly, there were 4 water chains that grabbed the large gem and took her underwater but it dropped David before she went underwater. After that, everyone was okay and they saved the day. David was okay though he had to go to the hospital after explaining what happened to days after the incident. The team also got their things together and were trying to find Jasper and Lapis or what they called Malachite. They also tried to find Peridot with no luck. Now everyone is trying to find out what is going on and how things are gonna be different from now on.

A entire team of researchers are watching the events unfold such as the hand coming to earth and Garnet coming apart. There is another screen showing a broadcast of what happened and people giving their statements. The scientists went over how the gems technology changed the world and how Beach City and other places around the world are the center of all this. Rook got up and said "Okay we need scientists and others to go to those places and report what you find." "It's time we make our move."

(Okay this is the last chapter of the first book. I am gonna make the next book on May so I am gonna a break until then. I might try to update other chapters and make changes and stuff. I hope you guys enjoyed this book.)
