You took a mining lift down to his gym, which was deep underground, and you had to take a bunch of horizontal lifts back and forth with little to no light, but soon you got to Clay!

Clay: Go Krokorok!
(Y/N): Go, Samurott!
Clay: Krokorok, use Rock Slide!
(Y/N): Samurott, dodge and use Hydro Pump!
Samurott dodged and then used Hydro Pump to do a critical hit to Krokorok!
(Y/N): Now use Razor Shell!
Samurott slammed his shell into the ground and managed to blind Krokorok before knocking it out with one strong attack!
Clay: That was mighty smart pardner! But here comes Sandslash!
(Y/N): Alright! Let's do this!
Clay: Sandslash use Bulldoze!
(Y/N): Samurott, use Surf!
Samurott did lots of damage to Sandslash!
Clay: Sandslash, use Hone Claws!
(Y/N): Quickly! Samurott! Use Aqua Jet!
The attack managed to knock out Sandslash!
Clay: Well, don't get cocky. Because here comes my ace! GO EXCADRILL!
Clay then sends out his ace!
Clay: Use Dig!
Excadrill dug underground, and then-
(Y/N): Samurott use Hydro Pump through the hole he dug!
Samurott blasted the hole full of water, and Excadrill was pimped out and knocked out!
