Colin was under command with Vine, Weiss, and Winter assisting him.
Winter: It seems that Black Hole is making their way here.
Colin: WHAT?! We must stand strong! Commander Olaf told me to guard these territories with my very life!
Vine: What dedication you have, Colin. We will lend our assistance.
Weiss: Do what you do.
Colin: Right away, Sir!
Lash and her troops began to emerge!
Lash: Helloooooo! Is anybody home? Looks deserted! Guess I'll just capture everything.
Winter: We will win this. We will win, and make sure she leaves for good!
15 days later...
With all of Colin's units being tired out and destroyed, they eventually managed to win!
Lash: Shoot! This isn't over!
Winter: That was satisfying.
Vine: Are you alright Colin?
Colin: Never ... felt better.
Grit: Nice work, son. Holding out against a superior force that, I mean.
Colin: Commander Grit? Does this mean I'm worthy of being a commanding officer now?
Grit: What're you talkin' about? You are a grade-A certified top-of-the-line CO, son! And you can take that to the bank!
Vine: It is true.
Weiss: You may be new, but you're an expert CO.
Winter: It never comes naturally either.
Colin: (with tears) THANK YOU SIRS!!!

Grit, Elm, Blake, and Yang were looking in the nearby woods, until-
Lash: HA! Looks like I found some more playmates!
Elm: That's her. Lash.
Yang: Sheesh, she's been showing up a lot as of late.
Lash: I AM a genius, you know. The Black Cannon's my invention, too.
Grit: What does a Black Cannon do?
Blake: You don't want to know. Flak had one of those.
Lash: Well, its range of fire is much, much larger than yours. And I've tweaked it so it can now fire every day! I'm gonna destroy you way before you reach your goal.
Elm: We'll see about that, Lash.

The units had to sneak through the woods and avoid Lash's Black Cannon from firing.
Before they knew it, the base was in sight!
Grit: Alright!
Lash: No way! They made it through? I can't be defeated here... It's not possible!
Blake: Ever heard of strategy?
Yang: Yeah, and you're supposed to be the brains of these Black Hole leaders. Man, Sturm must be mad now.
Lash: No matter! The factory is still up and running! I can make as many units as I can!
With that...
Adder was scolding both Flak and Lash.
Adder: You two are completely reckless! AND FLAK! Those silos are too close to the factory!
