Right there, you and Kanbei noticed all of Flak's troops, and you just smiled.

You assisted in directing Kanbei's forces as Kanbei used Morale Boost in order to boost the strength of his men, and then-
Flak: I-I don't believe it... They were... stronger than me? Must find a way... to escape...
He then took off.
Kanbei: See Son-in-Law? That is how you defend your bases.
(Y/N): Skilled as always, Kanbei.
Meanwhile...
Adder: Where are the supplies we've plundered?
Black Hole Soldier: They're en route to our factory even as we speak, sir!
Adder: So quickly? Excellent... Heh heh. Our plans are moving right on schedule, eh? Even so, what a beautiful sea. Gazing upon it fills me with an overwhelming desire to see it all...... destroyed!
The Black Hole Soldier then noticed-
Black Hole Soldier: Commander Adder! It's Gold Comet and Atlas!
Adder: So much for "me time" and tender thoughts... Send out the order for reinforcements! Prepare for battle!
Ruby and Weiss accompanied Sensei to the battlefield.
Ruby: So, this is how you fight? With all these Battle Copters?
Sensei: Heh, don't underestimate someone like me. I was very good back in my day.
Adder: HA! You're the Commander? Some old man?
Sensei: So you're the Black Hole, eh? What do you want here?
Adder: I have no reason to tell you, old man. In time, the entire world will kneel at our feet. Any who dare stand in our way will be ground beneath our heels.
Sensei: Oh, can't have that, now can we? I don't like war -- it's tiring. But someone's got to stop you.
Adder: What are you babbling about?
Sensei: If you don't grasp what I'm telling you, boy, then you've got no hope of defeating me. He who laughs last laughs best. So long.
Adder: You're quite the orator. Still, you're a bit long in the tooth to challenge me. Since you're so tired, I'll make this quick and finish you in 10 days!
Sensei: Now let me show you young ones how this old man does things.
Sensei smirked as his Battle Copters were easily taking down Adder's forces!
Weiss: WOW! He-
Ruby: He's so cool!
Adder began to try and change strategies, but it was no use.
Sensei's forces overpowered his!
Adder: You... You're an old man! For you to have defeated me... Who... Who are you?
Ruby: Way to go, Sensei! We did it!
Sensei: Oh, we did now? How nice.
Adder: Wait! Now I remember... It was in the reports... This country once boasted a CO who was said to be unbeatable... A man whom everyone feared... Impossible... It couldn't be!

Sensei: Seemed to have pulled through in one piece.

Adder: Heh heh... It seems that this terrain has our friends in a quandary. Not that it matters. Whatever they decide to do, they can only fail.
Sonja: CO Adder of the Black Hole Army, I presume. I should have known Black Hole was behind this!
Adder: This fortress was built on the strength of the Black Hole nation. It will never fall to the likes of Gold Comet. Once I've taken care of things here, I must destroy this map. It wouldn't do to have these fools showing up at our hidden lab... Now then, let's see what skills this foe possesses.

You helped Sonja direct her troops around the mini cannons and capture the territories nearby.

With this, the range of Sonja's units increased again.

Soon enough, the cannons were destroyed, and the territories were captured!
Adder: ARGH! MY FORTRESS!!! We were unlucky, nothing more. And so, for now, we must retreat.
With Adder retreating the Gold Comet Soldiers brought a map to-
(Y/N): AHA! Now we can find the lab where we can build Neotanks for Gold Comet!
Sonja: Great. Let's hurry before they have a chance to strike back.
