"Underneath reception, there's a basement, yes? Then how come when you look on the lift, there's a button marked lower basement? There's a whole floor which doesn't exist on the official plans. So what's down there, then?" asks the Doctor as they're in the lift.
"Are you telling me this building's got a secret floor?" asks Lance.
"No, I'm showing you this building's got a secret floor," the Doctor says.
"It needs a key," says Donna.
"I don't," the Doctor says confidently. Quinn rolls her eyes. He sonics the LB button.
"Mister techy-pants," says Quinn.
"It's 'Doctor,' to you" retorts the Doctor. "Right then. Thanks, you three. I can handle this. See you later."
"No chance, Martian. You're the man who keeps saving my life. I ain't letting you out of my sight. Besides, Quinn should help too."
"Thanks, Donna," says Quinn.
"No problem. Just trying to help," she says.
"Going down," says the Doctor.
"Lance?" asks Donna.
"Maybe I should go to the police . . ." he says.
"Inside," says Donna.
Lance gets in the lift.
"To honor and obey?" The Doctor asks Lance.
"Tell me about it, mate."
"Oi," says Donna. Quinn slaps the Doctor. "Rude."
"I like you," Donna tells Quinn. "You got pizzaz."
"Thanks," Quinn says, smiling. The Doctor frowns.

"Where are we? Well, what goes on down here?"
The Doctor says, "Let's find out."
"Do you think Mister Clements knows about this place?"
"The mysterious HC Clements? I think he's part of it. Oh, look. Transport," says the Doctor.
There are weird two wheel electric stand up jobs. Quinn had to share one with the Doctor and complained the whole way there because he was hovering over her. He was so tall. Donna can't help but laugh. They arrive at a bulkhead door labeled Torchwood. Authorized personnel only. The Doctor turns the wheel to open it to reveal a ladder.
"Wait here. Just need to get my bearings. Don't do anything," says the Doctor.
"You'd better come back," says Donna.
"I couldn't get rid of you if I tried," the Doctor replies.
"Oi, wait up Starman, I'm coming with you," says Quinn. She gets on the ladder.
"Starman?" the Doctor asks. "That's a new one."
"Spaceman's better," says Donna.
"Donna, have you thought about this? Properly? I mean, this is serious! What the hell are we going to do?" Quinn hears Lance ask.
"Oh, I thought July," the two hear Donna say.
The Doctor and Quinn climb up to another sealed cover operated by a wheel, like in a submarine. The Doctor opens it and climbs out onto the top of number 8 in the Thames Barrier. They go back down.
"Thames flood barrier right on top of us. Torchwood snuck in and built this place underneath," says the Doctor.
"What, there's like a secret base hidden underneath a major London landmark?" asks Donna.
