Gina woke up with a startle. She touched her forehead and felt the sweat as it dripped down her face. The dream, she had had it again. Gina climbed out of bed, leaving her sleeping husband behind. She shuffled down the stairs and entered the kitchen. She poured herself a large glass of wine and began to drink it in gulps. She vigorously shook her head and poured herself another large glass. As she gulped that glass down as well, she began to feel a buzz she had never felt before. She began to feel released as if she was now able to be her true self. She tossed the glass aside, letting it crash onto the floor and shatter. She grabbed the wine bottle by the neck and downed the remaining wine left. Gina was now more than slightly buzzed. She was feeling more like herself. Wild and untamed. Tonight she was going to do what she wanted. She grabbed her jacket and hurried out of the door. She unlocked her Mercedes and got behind the wheel, driving with an accuracy a drunk person would normally would not drive with. She made her way into the city and began to cruise the streets, admiring the various people walking by. Gina was fascinated with people. She loved the way the walked, the way they talked. She loved the way they hurt. She was intrigued with how humans would cry for help, or beg for mercy when they were about to get hurt. But what she loved most of all was the way they suffered. The way they would mentally scream in agony when they were inflicted with pain. Or the way they would try to gather some form of stability before falling into complete insanity. Gina loved it and she lived for it. She hadn't tortured or killed a person in months, and tonight she was craving. It was an addiction that cost her, her name and true identity, Cathleen Clayton. Being forced to change your name and mask your identity because of an addiction no one else understood. But she understood. And tonight, she was going to overdose.
