Gina slumped in her chair staring at the patio behind the glass door. She twirled her hair, a blank expression on her face. She was bored. She had thought this life as a billionaire ' s wife would be a lot more interesting than it truly was. She rarely went out much. Ever since she had gotten Candace a job at Greg's company, she had seen less of her best friend, and had resorted to lounging around at home all day. And she was growing sick of it.
Gina was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard a knock at the door. She got up and slowly opened the door. "Candace, what a lovely suprise. It's like I haven't seen you in ages". Candace gave a shy smile. Gina found it odd how Candace was dressed. Instead of her ocassional elegant dresses and form fitting skirts, Candace wore simple jeans and a great sweatshirt. She rarely wore jeans, and Gina instantly sensed that something was wrong. "Are you okay" she hesitantly asked. Candace waved her hand as if to dismiss Gina's worry.
"Of course, I'm fine. I was just thinking about how I haven't seen you in a while and I wanted to catch up. That's if you don't have any plans"? Gina's face lit up. "I would love to. We can head out right now". Gina rushed to the closet and slipped on her coat. Candace stood at the door, a feeling of anxiety rising up within her. She was going to have to do this.
