Chapter 7

Nicole's POV

My eyes fluttered open and I awoke to the peaceful slumbering face of Josh. I smiled taking in every little detail of his face admiring the minor flaws that made him beautiful. His arm was resting on my hip, our bodies a mere centimeter away from one another. I propped my head up with my arm and just watched him sleep. I sighed and smiled as I tried to get up and clothe myself.

Josh's eyes suddenly opened and he pulled me into him kissing me before saying," Good morning beautiful," I had always loved when he called me that.

"Hey, good morning. So I was thinking about going back to my apartment today... I mean, it is Sunday."

"No don't leave me," he gave me a puppy dog face and I laughed almost giving in.

"Sorry, I can't just stay at your house every night. All my stuffs at home."

"Yes you can. Just bring all your stuff here." as if it was that simple.

I rolled off the bed and searched through my duffel bag for a new bra and underwear. I found some that were electric blue trimmed with black lace and slipped them on only to be stopped by a pair of strong hands gripping my waist. "Stop," I tried giggling.

"You don't need any of that. Just be like this for the rest of the day."

"I can't just walk around nude the whole day." I protested.

"Says who?" he whispered into my ear.

"Says me," I answered before walking off to my duffel bag.

I could feel his eyes on my bum the whole time and I smirked to myself before slipping my bra and underwear on. I turned around abruptly and saw his eyes quickly snap up to my face. "Whats so interesting that you see?" I joked.

"Oh, nothing." he replied and I could see a blush forming on his cheeks.

"Uh, huh. Definitely," I winked toward him before getting back under the thin sheet. "Get something on. At least some boxers." I pleaded.

"You know you like me better this way."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just get something on," I tried.

"Fine, if I must," he sighed and mocked hurt before grabbing some boxers out of his drawer and putting them on.

I felt him lay down beside me and I turned around so I was facing him. I glanced over at my phone to check the time. It was 11:00. "So I was planning to leave around 3?" I started.

"Nah, why don't you stay for dinner? I'll cook."

"In that case, I'll definitely pass," I teased.

"Actually, my cooking isn't that bad."

"You sure about that?"

"Yup, that's what my-" and he stopped before continuing on.

"What babe? Continue on."

"Nothing."

"What? You can tell me."

"It was nothing."

"Of course it was. If it was nothing, you wouldn't have mentioned it at all. Now tell me. Sorry if I'm sounding pushy but I feel like there's something I need to know." I smiled trying to loosen the mood.

He sighed before saying," I was going to say... That's what my brother said before he died."

I gasped before wrapping my arms around him capturing him into a warm hug. I whispered," I'm so sorry." into his ear before pulling back and offering him a small smile.
