Josh's POV

Dammit, what did I do wrong? And won't she tell me! One minute she's all handy dandy then before I know it, boom! She goes berserk and mad. So many thoughts and questions were running through my head right now giving me a headache. It had to do with Taylor, I knew it. But the real question is what exactly did she do?

I massaged me temple and banged my fists on the table in frustration. I walked upstairs deciding a goodnights sleep would help. I tossed and turned not being able to sleep, it was technically morning now and we still have class tomorrow. I took out my phone a couple times and contemplated whether to text Nicole or not. She needed some time to herself so I didn't text her. I checked the time. It was 4:00 am now, might as well try and get 2 hrs of sleep, I thought.

------

I woke up and checked my phone, shit it was 9:00 am, I was late. I slapped myself for forgetting to set the alarm again and rushed through everything in a effort to get to class as soon as I could. As soon as I arrived at the school, I rushed in the doors and into my first class. After apologizing to my teacher, I slid into a seat and took a big breath before taking out my textbook and getting to work.

The whole day passed and I didn't catch a glimpse of Nicole anywhere. I had a feeling she was staying out of my sight purposely. I rounded a corner and came face to face with Taylor stopping me dead in my tracks. I pulled her aside and took her wrist forcefully.

"What did you do?" I commanded.

"Nothing. What are you talking about?"

"Look I'm tired of this shit. Tell me what you told her now."

"Stop accusing me of stuff. Gosh I didn't do anything!"

"Yea I'm sure you didn't." I stomped off pissed off at everyone. I shoved aside the people in my way and slammed my car door ready to get home and take a nap.

I sat down and took out my phone. Looking through my contacts, I looked for someone to talk to.

I finally found someone, an old high school friend. Raini Morelli, one of my best high school mates. We had dated at one point but it just didn't work out so we stopped. She was a bright and bubbly girl, optimistic and colorful, she could brighten your day in an instant. She was pretty too, black hair with a single red streak on the left side. She always wore bright colors, they often suggested what mood she was in. She had a tight little body due to her vegetarianism and she was a big hit at our school. Everyone was practically her friend and she was loved by everyone.

She was a best friend of mine and we would often just hang out on a regular Friday after school at a coffe shop and chat the afternoon away. But after going to college, we hadn't kept in touch as well, maybe a few texts here and there, nothing really serious.

I called her up and explained everything to her. She quickly understood and said she would meet me up at the Starbucks down the street and I gladly accepted. I slipped on a light jacket as it was chilly out today and got into my car anticipating the meet with Raini.

I pulled into the Starbucks parking lot and went in looking around for where she was seated. I finally spotted her and she looked very different from the last time I remember. Her hair was a redish brown now and she wore less make up, she was more of a curvy girl now and wore a pair of hip fake glasses. She looked better, and even happier if that's possible. I suddenly found myself wondering if she had a boyfriend and if he treated her well.

She was wearing a flowery blouse tucked into some skinny jeans and bright pink pumps. She looked good. I slid into the seat across from her and smiled.
