Chapter 6

Nicole's POV

I slowly opened my eyes blinking them against the morning sun that was filtering into Josh's room through the window. I looked over to Josh who was still sleeping and I just laid there for a while watching him sleep. He looked so peaceful and content, happy and calm. I smiled to myself as I attempted to untangle myself from his arms and get up. In response, I heard a groan as he tightened his grip on my hip. Giving up, I laid back down and checked the time. It was 9:00. I figured it was late enough and if he had something planned today he needed to wake up now.

I pressed a kiss to his forehand and pulled back smiling. "Wake up sleepyhead," I murmured.

His eyes fluttered open and he just laid there and smiled at me. I was positioned now so that I was sitting on his chest with my legs on either side of him. "Morning beautiful," he replied before pulled me into a kiss. I kissed him back and laid on his chest listening to the steady beat of his heart. He ran his fingers through my hair and I smiled as I took his hand in mine and held it. It almost seemed as if our hands were made for one another, they fit like puzzle pieces. So perfect. So coincidental. Or was it? We just laid there like that for what seemed like a few minutes before I sat up and slipped off of him looking around his room.

"Oh, crap. I don't have anything to wear." I said.

"Don't wear anything then," he replied winking at me.

"Haha, very funny. I think I'll just wear my dirty clothes from yesterday." I went to the bathroom and put on my old clothes. I sprayed some perfume on from my purse and started applying minimum make up before walking out.

By the time I got out, Josh was already dressed in a blue t-shirt and some shorts. I had assumed he had already showered because his hair was wet. "Hey let's stop at your dorm." he said.

"Why?"

"We are going to the beach and you might want some clothes to change into."

"Oh, ok," I gave him a warm smile and he smiled back before grabbing his bag and rushing me out to his car.

We drove to my apartment and I rushed into the building while he waited in the car. I got together my favorite halter top bikini that was navy blue with pink polka dots, change of clothes and some other basic needs as I threw them into a duffel bag before rushing back out to the car.

I smiled at Josh before giving him a quick peck on the lips and facing forward snapping my seatbelt into place.

We finally arrived at the beach and I opened the door rushing to the changing room excitedly.

When I walked out, I had saw that Josh had brought lawn chairs which he was setting up and had laid a towel on the sand.

"Hey babe," he said when he saw me. I suddenly felt uncomfortable as I felt his eyes and the eyes of others guys at the beach scan my body thoroughly as if they were searching for something. I heard a few wolf whistles but ignored them as I continued walking toward Josh.

"Looking hot babe," he smiled.

"Aww, thanks," I pressed a kiss to his lips before laying down on the towel. I got my sunglasses out of my bag and slipped them on before running my fingers through my hair.

"So are you just gonna lay there?" he asked.

"Nah, I'll go in soon."

"Ok." he stood up and took his shirt off before running into the water. I sat there for a while and I found myself just staring at his perfect body. He was tan and muscular, god he was so dang hot. I smiled to myself before getting up and joining him in the water.
