Do you believe in love at first sight ? Most people don't, and you weren't an exception. To you this thing was only a good love trop in some books you enjoyed reading late at night in your living room. It could never be real. Love is a choice and it doesn't fall on you like a small curse.

You had bad experiences with love, cheating boyfriends, things that didn't work out and you ended up being scared of it and leaving so you couldn't get hurt that way. Maybe love just wasn't for you. Although it hurts to see your friends in love and enjoy the life of a relationship.
So you just work to forget.

You've always been a workaholic, always pushing yourself to the limits and taking on more work than you can handle but lately, you've been feeling more and more empty. No matter how much you work, you still feel like something is missing.

You know that you're trying to fill the void with work, but you don't want to face the truth. Instead, you push yourself even harder, ignoring the signs that your health is suffering.

But one day, you realize that you can't keep going like this, something has to change. You try to slow down, but the guilt creeps in, and you find yourself back at your desk, working late into the night.

The cycle continues, and you feel trapped, like you'll never find a way out. You know that you can't live like this forever, but you don't know what else to do. You feel lost, and you wonder if things will ever get better.
That's when you met him.

You sit in front of the computer, scrolling through endless pages of code. You don't know how much time has passed, all you know is that there is so much work to do and so little time. As the hours pass, you feel your mind growing more and more numb, as if you are simply going through the motions without actually living, just existing.

You try to focus on the work, trying to lose yourself in the code, but your thoughts keep drifting back to the loneliness you feel in your life. Your job, while demanding and sometimes rewarding, does little to fill the void in your heart. As you struggle to get through another day, you find comfort in the routine, the predictability of it all.

You tell yourself that you're strong and independent, that you don't need anyone else. But deep down, you know that you're just running from your feelings, trying to drown them in the endless work and the noise of your own thoughts.

"Hey y/n !" You jumped at the voice of Jessica, your colleague and best friend. You looked at her directly knew what she was about to say. "Don't give me that look Jess, I just have to finish this." "You say that everytime !" She was right, you sighed. "Don't you sigh. You get your pretty ass up and go get us two some coffee down the street. It'll make you see some fresh air and as well be productive." She got your coat and rushed you out before you could even protest.
