Lord okay. HARRY AND ELLERY GET OUT OF MY MIND.
Here is the sequel to Born to Die. It's based off the song Dark Paradise by Lana Del Rey.
I might to a prequel to this just to write about Harry and Ellery's relationship and how it got to where it was.
I wrote it backward, I'm sorry! Enjoy! x
(All my friends tell me I should move on)
?Ellery takes the walk down the corridor slowly, trying to figure how where she's going to go. She's never felt more lost, but she knows it's the right decision. They've said their goodbyes; it was a long time coming. No one should be surprised. She pulls her iPhone out, texting an old friend that lives not too far from the hotel.
Joanna, something came up. I'll explain later, are you home? X
Yeah, her friend responds, come on over.
She does, quickly hailing a cab to avoid the fans that have spotted her. Ellery tries not to cry on the way to her friend's house, but it's hard. She feels as if a part of her is missing, like she's just given up half her life; but in a way, hasn't she?
Her friend greets her on the front lawn, a frown upon her face, her arms outstretched. "Come here, Elle, tell me all about it." Ellery hugs her friend tightly, collapsing into the opposite girl's chest, tears and sobs wreaking havoc upon her body.
"It's alright, babe," Joanna says, ushering her friend inside. "You'll be okay. I know that's hard to hear, but it'll be fine, okay. We'll get through it. You deserve someone better." But there will never be anyone better, Ellery thinks.
(I'm lying in the ocean, singing your song. Ah, that's how you sang it.)
Joanna talks Ellery into going to the beach a few minutes from her house. Ellery doesn't feel much like being outside at all, but it does it for Jo, who's trying so hard to make her friend happy that it's borderline ridiculous.
Ellery sits at the edge of the water, her back pressed into the warm, damp sand, letting the waves wash over her body. She hopes it'll cleanse of her Harry's scent, his memory, but it doesn't. Tears mix with the salt water, but she hides it well.
(Loving you forever, can't be wrong. Even though you're not here, won't move on...)
Harry stays on the floor of the hotel suite, the sofa holding up his body. He doesn't have the strength to move nor does he want to. All he wants is to leave, go home, go to Cheshire. Maybe see Gemma again, she's always so levelheaded.
He knows that's impossible, though, so instead he picks up his phone, going through all the old pictures of him and Ellery, wondering why he didn't have the guts to chase after her.
(Ah, that's how we played it.)
The two kids are playing the same game, but neither one of them realizes it. Their lives are so tightly connected that they won't move on, won't chase new people. But Harry will, as he always does, find someone to distract him.
(All my friends ask me why I stay strong.)
The four days Ellery is supposed to spend with Harry pass quickly, and before she knows it, Joanna is dropping her off at the airport, walking her through arrivals, hugging her before she goes back to London. She feels better now, almost healed, because she realizes she doesn't have to lie to Harry anymore.
She's deleted his number and all but one picture together. Rumors have started, but she doesn't respond; she'll let management and Harry handle that. She'll end up saying something she regrets like "I'll always love him but we're just not meant to be."
