I close the door softly, Cato was leaning on the wall his smile now gone.. looking at me.
" It wasn't just a girl thing, was it?" He questions.
I sigh, " No, it wasn't."
" You know you can tell me Kay. No matter what it is... I'll be here. I hope you know that." He says softly coming closer. " You've stuck with me through all my stupid shit."
" I know."
" Then what's the issue?" He asks lowly wrapping his hands around my hips.
" Your happy, right now Cato. This can wait."
" I don't want to wait. I want to know, I heard them say they're sorry. That's all I could hear, what do they need to be sorry about?"
I lifted my head meeting his gaze, " Can we go back to our room?"
" Will you tell me?"
I nod.
We take the walk back to our room slowly, I could see Cato was maybe a little nervous himself. My heart was racing, so much so I thought if it went any faster I'd go into cardiac arrest.
We reach our door, Cato opening it up for me. " Should I lock it?" He asks.
I eye the door then him nodding, " Probably." I shake.
He locks it, closing it carefully. He stands just looking.
I bite my lip, this is really happening. I feel my body tremble, " Umm.. You'll probably want to sit down."
" You should too." He says coming closer to me, leading us to the bed sitting next to me.
My breathing becomes ragged as I look at him, my eyes cloud. " Umm.. there's no way to say this-"
" Hey.." He says quickly cupping my face once more, " I love you.. I'll always love you. No matter what, no matter whatever happened or will happen... I. LOVE. You."
My composure was slipping quickly as I stared at him, " You'll hate me..."
" I won't. I promise." He reassures. " Something is hurting you, tell me and we'll make it better."
" We can't." I cry, I finally let it go. " This is irreversible."
" Kaylaya." He says calmly. " Look at me."
He wipes the tears looking intently " Please tell me baby, please."
