Kaylaya POV

She had a basement, a hidden basement. She moves a few racks, a few rugs and there it was.

" You can hide down here, there's some out of season fabrics to lay on, a small TV...."

" Thank you." Cressida offers with a small smile, which Tigris answers only with a nod. We were all quick to descend.

I can speak for everyone left as soon as we sat down... The severity set in...the realization.

We lost Jackson, League 2, Finnick,Cal and Zane.

Zane is dead....

I take the opportunity to look around at everyone's faces. All of them pleudged with what just happened.

It was silent. Dead silent.

Priya who's been eerily silent this whole time comes closer, in one motion she wraps both Cato and I in a tight hug quietly breaking down. And that created the whole spiral when everyone took their own time to mourn who they lost.

" I'm so sorry Cato.." Pri cries. I hear his shaky breaths as he just nods.

He lost his dad. I lost my father figure. Priya lost her parental guide also.

All that could be heard were the faint sniffles of everyone, the loudest was Octavia. The quietest....River. Though he seemed to be not even in a different world, he seemed to be in a whole different universe.

He gently rubs her back, Gale and the blakes off in the corner tending to their wounds.Cressida and Pollux were talking gravely amongst themselves.

" You alright?" I ask shakily to Priya.

" No, none of this is alright." She hiccups. " 13 could've taken them out, no one here needed to die! Why won't coin just go in and kill them?!"

" Cause she wants a show... " Vad responds. " I've noticed it's all them battling on who can advertise the most. I think we need to add in, Tell them we're still alive-"

" And have more mutts come after us?!" Cato snaps.

" No, we fight, make a plan. Show them!"

" I don't think any of us are in any condition to fight. Let alone make a plan." I exasperate out. " We need to rest. Just for a day, then figure out to get out of this hell hole."

" We're this close, 5 blocks from Snow." Gale urges.

" It's not worth losing anymore people." I add. " I say we get the hell out-"

" No." Octavia blurts out, wiping tears from her face. " I agree with Gale, we made it this far. If we run now all those deaths were for nothing."
