No one gave Cal an exact response, though he requested to see the footage again, which the Capitol played all night. I think they really do think we're dead, I bet their just basking in it. Snow might get taken down but he killed the girl he wanted to the last 2 years.
Like Zane said we all camped here for the night, still keeping watch just in case. It felt almost unnatural sleeping in such a..decorated place. It smelled of overly sweet strawberries. Reminding me of something I once ate in the Capitol, it makes the pit swirl in my stomach on uneasiness.
Ofcourse, Cato noticed which he always does..always. " You ok?" He asks quietly glancing at the others then me.
I take a breath nodding, " Umm.. yea. Just, I don't know it's dumb.."
I see his mouth quirk just a little, " I'll listen, however dumb it may be."
I roll my eyes, " Just the overly sweet smell of this whole damn place.. Just makes all those memories come back you know?"
He nods slightly, " Yea.. I know to well.." He moves a little closer to me wrapping his arm slowly around my waist as if he's trying not to scare me, though I feel my heart rate increase a little bit. " I got you.." He whispers, " Just try to rest.."
I nod taking in his scent which makes the comfort slowly slip back in, though more worry soon washes over me, "Cato?"
" Hmm?" He hums running his up and down my arm.
" What are we going to do with him?"
He didn't need me to eleborate on who I was talking about, he presses me into him a bit more. " I don't know. I feel like keeping him or killing him is the wrong call on however we all decide."
I bite my cheek giving me a small smile nodding, " I was thinking the same thing."
He looks over my shoulder where I know Cal is sleeping for the night guarded. " I won't let him touch you, let alone hurt or kill you."
" I know."
His eyes come back to me " I can take your watch too, if you don't feel comfortable-"
" I'll be fine, everyone is literally like.. 5 feet away." I assure giving a slight smile once again.
" Just sleep ok?" He says moving a little closer. He didn't need to tell me twice, with him being close, the calmness was working and slowly I fell asleep.
